The above communication activities have brought positive results, contributing to educating life skills for students and building a safe school environment.
Drug Warning
Recently, the Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a legal education communication session; prevent violence, crime, drugs, social evils in schools; prevent illegal acts for high school students at Nam Ha High School, Bien Hoa city.
In the program, the reporter warned about new generation drugs that are trying to infiltrate the school environment with many sophisticated tricks. Accordingly, in recent years, the drug abuse situation has become increasingly complicated. More alarming is the appearance of many new generation drugs with high toxicity, with eye-catching forms, attracting the curiosity and exploration of young people. Many drugs are disguised, hidden in the form of drinks, food, electronic cigarettes. More worrying is that drug criminals use social networking platforms to approach young people.
Faced with the increasing trend of illegal drug use and law violations among younger people, organizing legal education sessions for students is an extremely necessary activity. |
Through specific situations and cases, the reporter helped students better understand the law, especially how to prevent drugs and social evils in schools.
Tran Hoang My Loan, a student at Nam Ha High School, shared that this propaganda session helped her clearly visualize the risks and harms of drugs, and measures to protect herself and those around her from the dangers of drugs.
Nguyen Duc Tri expressed his wish to be provided with more information about different types of drugs "disguised" in different forms so that students can know and have preventive measures.
Strengthening guidance for students on skills to combat “fake news”
Previously, the Union of Science and Technology Associations coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Long Khanh City to organize communication sessions on preventing child sexual abuse and warning against fake news for students of 14 secondary schools in the city.
At Le A Secondary School (Binh Loc Commune), more than 300 students of the school listened to the reporter share how to identify and prevent the risk of abuse, including the risk of sexual abuse from the online environment; equipped with skills to distinguish fake news in cyberspace. The program used many visual aids, creating liveliness and ease of understanding. At the same time, students had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange directly with the speaker. Thanks to that, students absorbed the communication content better.
Vice Principal of Le A Secondary School Nguyen Truong Dinh commented: “This is a very useful program, bringing many practical values to students in the context of the current information technology explosion. Communication activities with the participation of experts help students have a more specific and clear view of child sexual abuse and deal with fake news and bad news that are currently widespread.”
According to Nguyen Van Liet, Vice President in charge of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, along with the explosion of information technology and social networks, fake news is also rampant in cyberspace. Meanwhile, it is difficult for students to distinguish between real and fake news. Therefore, according to the signed cooperation agreement with the education sector on propaganda, dissemination and legal education, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations focuses mainly on the content of preventing fake news and preventing child sexual abuse. This will continue to be the content propagated in many schools across the province in the coming time.
