Ms. Vu Viet Trang reiterated the viewpoint of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the recent Vietnam-Japan economic summit, emphasizing the new direction in the cooperative relationship between the two countries. That is cooperation towards sustainable development and green growth. This is also the inevitable development path not only for Vietnam, but also for many countries in the world in the context of climate change which is evolving very complicatedly, becoming a common concern of the world.

For Vietnam, implementing green growth also aims to fulfill its commitments at the COP26 Conference, demonstrating Vietnam's responsibility to the international community. Vietnam and Japan have had many cooperation programs in the field of green growth.

However, according to Ms. Vu Viet Trang, the two countries still have much room to promote complementary cooperation. In contributing to spreading the implementation of commitments and action plans towards green growth, the press and media play a very important role.

Carrying out that mission, the General Director of VNA said that VNA - a key national press agency, always upholds its role as a bridge in propagating and disseminating information to the public at home and abroad; actively implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on promoting economic diplomacy to serve national development.

At the seminar, delegates shared their views on green growth; opportunities and challenges in implementing the National Strategy on Green Growth, 2021-2030 period, vision 2050; the significance of support from Japan for the green development strategy in Vietnam; proposed and recommended solutions to help implement this strategy.
