From January 1, 2026, regional minimum wage increases by 7.2%

According to Decree 293/2025/ND-CP, from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage for employees working under contracts will increase by VND 250,000-350,000/month, equivalent to an average increase of 7.2%.

According to the provisions of Decree No. 293/2025/ND-CP issued on November 10, 2025 of the Government , from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts will increase from VND 250,000 - VND 350,000/month (equivalent to an average increase rate of 7.2%).

The subjects of Decree No. 293/2025/ND-CP include employees working under labor contracts as prescribed by the Labor Code.

Employers as prescribed by the Labor Code, including enterprises as prescribed by the Law on Enterprises. Agencies, organizations, cooperatives, households, and individuals that hire and use employees to work for them according to agreements.

Other agencies, organizations and individuals related to the implementation of the minimum wage prescribed in this Decree./.
