From March 1, Quang Ngai Provincial Police added 4 new functions and tasks

Kinhtedothi-On the morning of February 28, Quang Ngai Provincial Police held a ceremony to receive functions and tasks from 4 departments and branches.

This reception was carried out in accordance with the policy of the Politburo and the Central Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference, 12th tenure.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs announced the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on transferring the functions, tasks, finances, and assets of State management of network information security from the Department of Information and Communications to the Provincial Police; transferring the functions, tasks, finances, and assets of State management of testing, granting driving licenses, registering, and managing specialized motorbikes from the Department of Transport to the Provincial Police.

Leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and leaders of the Provincial Police completed the signing of the handover and acceptance of functions and tasks.

Transfer the functions and tasks of drug addiction treatment and post-addiction management of the Provincial Social Work Center (Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) to the Provincial Police; transfer the functions and tasks of State management of criminal records and implementation of public services of issuing Criminal Records from the Department of Justice to the Provincial Police. The decisions take effect from March 1, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that the reception ceremony is the beginning of difficult tasks that both the handing and receiving sides must solve, requiring strong leadership and direction, and high concentration for the new apparatus to operate effectively, efficiently and effectively.

The departments and branches that handed over the tasks will continue to closely coordinate with the Provincial Police in implementing new tasks, ensuring speed, timeliness, without interruption, and without affecting the people, businesses and the overall development of the province.

The provincial police urgently reviewed, compiled statistics, and collected files and documents according to the Ministry of Public Security 's instructions on the new organizational model. Prepared necessary conditions to serve the implementation of work aspects according to new functions and tasks quickly, on schedule, and ensuring quality.

Coordinate with relevant units to research and advise the Provincial People's Committee on implementing policies for cadres and employees affected by organizational restructuring, ensuring fairness, transparency, objectivity, and peace of mind at work.
