Accordingly, document No. 323/SXD-CLCT issued by the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province has the following content: "The article dated July 10 in the Saigon Giai Phong Quang Tri Newspaper: The bridge is at risk of collapsing but thousands of people still travel , reflecting the serious deterioration of the Cho bridge in Phu Trach commune, Quang Tri province.

Upon receiving the information, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Trach commune and Quang Binh Road Repair and General Construction Joint Stock Company II to conduct a field inspection.
The results showed that Cho Bridge was severely damaged, the stone and concrete piers were cracked, the protective concrete layer of the bridge beams was peeling off, the steel reinforcement was exposed, the foundation was eroded, creating a large gap, with the potential risk of collapse and breakage.

On this basis, the Department of Construction has sent the People's Committee of Quang Tri province a document proposing to invest in building a new bridge made of permanent reinforced concrete, 115m long, 7.5m wide, costing about 50 billion VND. At the same time, it requested the People's Committee of Phu Trach commune to reasonably divide traffic and prohibit all people and vehicles from crossing the bridge to ensure safety.
