From July, it only takes 35 minutes to get to Co To by seaplane from Tuan Chau.

NDO - Starting from July, tourists visiting Co To Island will have an additional transportation option: seaplanes taking off from Tuan Chau, Ha Long city with a flight time of only 35 minutes.

Hai Au Airlines said that it has started a new flight route from Tuan Chau, Ha Long city to Co To island, Co To district, Quang Ninh province. The seaplane flight from Tuan Chau to Co To takes about 35 minutes, instead of taking a speedboat which takes about 2 hours. Each flight has a minimum of 6 passengers and a maximum of 8 passengers, and does not accept children under 12 years old, passengers over 65 years old, or passengers who need assistance when moving. During the 35-minute flight to the green island of Co To, passengers can admire beautiful landmarks such as Ban Sen, Ngoc Vung, Quan Lan, Minh Chau, and Bai Tu Long Bay.

To serve the exploitation of seaplane flight services connecting Tuan Chau - Co To, since the beginning of June 2023, relevant units have surveyed the conditions for take-off and landing of the flight route and flight training for seaplane pilots in Co To district. Putting the seaplane flight service connecting the two islands of Tuan Chau - Co To into operation contributes to creating new and attractive tourism products of Quang Ninh, increasing the exchange of visitors between Ha Long and Co To, two island tourism centers of the province and promoting the development and exploitation of high-end tourism products. Previously, in 2014, Hai Au Airlines launched a seaplane tourism service in Tuan Chau, Ha Long (Quang Ninh). Every day there are 1-3 round-trip flights from Hanoi to Ha Long and 5-10 sightseeing flights over Ha Long Bay.
