During the week, the National Assembly reviewed and commented on many important draft laws and resolutions. Specifically, the draft laws that the National Assembly commented on included: the Penal Code (amended); the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Credit Institutions; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Procuracies; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Enterprises; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Implementation of Democracy at Grassroots Level; the Law on Inspection (amended); the Law on Protection of Personal Data; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding, the Law on Investment under the public-private partnership model, the Law on Customs, the Law on Export Tax and Import Tax, the Law on Investment, the Law on Public Investment, and the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.

The National Assembly discussed the draft resolutions: Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development; Resolution of the National Assembly replacing Resolution No. 35/2021/QH15 dated November 13, 2021 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city; Resolution of the National Assembly on reducing value-added tax; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the People's Procuracy initiating civil lawsuits to protect the civil rights of vulnerable groups or to protect public interests; Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and students of general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system; Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old; The National Assembly's Resolution on extending the period of exemption from agricultural land use tax is stipulated in Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12 of the National Assembly on exemption and reduction of agricultural land use tax, which has been amended and supplemented by a number of articles under Resolution No. 28/2016/QH14 and Resolution No. 107/2020/QH14.

Notably, the National Assembly will vote to pass two resolutions, including: Resolution of the National Assembly on shortening the term of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; Resolution of the National Assembly on the national election day for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The National Assembly listened to the Presentation and Examination Report of the draft laws: Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; Law on Extradition.

During the working week, the National Assembly also discussed: Additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio -economic development plan and the state budget in 2024; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2025; Approval of the state budget settlement in 2023; Supplementing the regular expenditure budget (foreign non-refundable aid) in 2025; The transition to applying a number of specific mechanisms and policies that have been permitted by the National Assembly to be implemented in a number of localities after restructuring the apparatus and expanding administrative boundaries according to the policies of the Party and the State; Practice of thrift and anti-waste in 2024; Results of implementing the national goal on gender equality in 2024.

In addition, the National Assembly discussed: Investment policy for the Quy Nhon – Pleiku expressway construction investment project; Adjustment of investment policy for the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway project, phase 1.
