On the afternoon of May 4, 2025, at Hanazono Central Park (Higashi Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan), the Festival " Vietnam's Heart - 50 Years of Beating Together" concluded after 2 days. The event was organized by the Vietnam-Japan Global Cultural Promotion Organization (VJCP) in coordination with associations and Vietnamese communities in the Kansai region on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The closing art program of the Festival had many artists from Vietnam and Japan, especially divo Tung Duong and singers Isaac and Duyen Quynh.

Tung Duong made the audience burst into tears when he sang the "National Anthem" in Japan.

As soon as he appeared at the event, Tung Duong was warmly welcomed by Vietnamese audiences in Japan. Young people lined up to ask for his autograph, take photos and called out his name every time he appeared on stage.

Tung Duong opened the program with the National Anthem , making the whole space quiet in solemnity and pride. Thousands of spectators - from children to the elderly, from the Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Ngo Trinh Ha - to workers and international students stood up, hands on chests, facing the stage where Tung Duong stood.

In addition to "National Anthem", Tung Duong brought to Japan a series of hits.

Amidst the brilliant space of flags and flowers, with red flags with yellow stars fluttering in the hands of Vietnamese people in Japan, the heroic and majestic singing of the National Anthem resounded in the heart of Japan like a call from the homeland, like the common beat of thousands of hearts turning towards the motherland, urging everyone to join in.

Tung Duong shared: “Singing the national anthem in Japan was a very special moment, an overwhelming feeling that cannot be described. I am happy to be Vietnamese, to be able to sing among the red flags with yellow stars and Vietnamese people far from home but still keep the Fatherland and homeland in my heart.”

Tung Duong hopes that one day he will organize a private live show in Osaka or Tokyo to sing more and contribute more to the audience there.

After the National Anthem, Tung Duong continued to lead the audience's emotions with The Road We Go, Rebirth, A Round of Vietnam, Above the Floor, and Aspiration of Youth. Each song Tung Duong sang was a wave of emotion, making the audience not only sing along but also burst out in pride and nostalgia for their homeland.

In particular, with the song "Aspiration of Youth", the atmosphere at Hanazono Park really exploded. Each verse was sung along by thousands of people with red flags raised high in their hands, creating a beautiful image called Vietnam.

Not following the original script, Tung Duong unexpectedly invited MC Phuc Anh to sing along, followed by the impromptu appearance of billion-view singer Duyen Quynh and Isaac. The artists and thousands of Vietnamese audiences in Japan created a touching and intense impromptu moment - a harmony about love for the country, about aspirational youth raised from the hearts of Vietnamese children in a foreign land.

Due to strict performance time regulations in Japan, Tung Duong could not sing more as the audience wished. However, his performance was complete and touched the hearts of thousands of Vietnamese people present at the Vietnam Heart Festival - 50 years of beating together .

She shared: “When I stood on the Japanese stage singing about Vietnam, looking at thousands of red flags with yellow stars flying, I felt a surge of national pride. Here, I clearly felt the spirit of solidarity, love and admiration for the strength of our overseas compatriots. The connection from people like Tung Duong and Isaac gave me more energy in every song.”

Singer Isaac also expressed: “This is one of the most meaningful performance moments in my career. When the flags were raised, emotions exploded. The Vietnamese spirit in that moment was so beautiful.”

Not only is it a performance, it is also a moment when music becomes a bond between the young Vietnamese community in Japan and their homeland, between artists and listeners who share the same aspiration.

Vietnam Heart Festival - 50 years of unity has come to an end, but the singing of Tung Duong and the artists, the image of the red flags with yellow stars fluttering brightly in the heart of Osaka and the tearful eyes of the audience will remain imprinted in the minds of all those present.
