The Silent Glory 2024 event is directed by the Government Cipher Committee and hosted by Information Security magazine.
Program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944), the 79th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese cryptography industry (September 12, 1945).
On September 12, 1945 - 10 days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, the Military Cryptography Department - the predecessor of the Vietnamese cryptography industry - was established at the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
Due to the special nature of important confidential missions, the achievements of the industry are rarely honored and rarely mentioned in the media.
This is the first art show in the industry.
At a press conference on the afternoon of August 29 in Hanoi , Major General Nguyen Huu Hung, Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee, shared that the name of the program "Silent Glory" was inspired by the specific mission of the industry.
"Through art, we provide a new and different perspective for the audience to understand more about an important force that has been making a significant contribution to the journey of building and protecting the Fatherland.
"Silent Glory 2024 is the bridge, bringing the image of Vietnam's cryptography industry closer to the people of the whole country," said the Major General.
The program lasts 120 minutes, with music as the main stream, combined with poetry, dance and the appearance of historical witnesses, Silent Glory 2024 depicts the quiet but glorious journey of Vietnam's cryptography industry.

Silent Glory 2024 is divided into three chapters: Historical Mission; Silent Feats; Glorious Journey.
According to information from the organizers, the report Historical Secret Telegrams reenacting the important role of cryptography in the victory of major military campaigns such as Dien Bien Phu, Ho Chi Minh Campaign, Northern Border Campaign... will be broadcast in the program on the evening of September 6.
At the event, the audience will have the opportunity to meet some witnesses such as Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - who directly served the Politburo's secret code translation, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Mr. Nguyen Bui Cuong - author of the MKV cipher standard proposed to be issued as the first cipher standard of Vietnam, putting Vietnam in the group of few countries in the world with their own cipher standards (Russia, America...)...
