For the first time, Vietnam hosted the Vietnam International Music & Arts Festival (VIMAF) on a national and Southeast Asian scale.

The festival is organized by the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association (VCIDA), hoping to bring a professional art playground to the young generation of Vietnamese artists and artistic talents across Southeast Asia.

Talking about the difference between VIMAF and the current boom of game shows and reality TV shows, artist Thanh Bui - a member of the judging panel - shared: "Each competition is a valuable opportunity for the young generation. I also participated in game shows to discover talents and you guys have become very famous.

But VIMAF's mission has a broader and universal vision, not limited to region, form and age. Here, all children have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in many fields such as vocals, musical instruments, dance and live performance. VIMAF is not a competition but a healthy and pure playground to develop global talents, bring Vietnam to the world and bring the world to Vietnam."

Thanh Bui said that many years ago, young talents who wanted to participate in international playgrounds had to go to Singapore, Russia, the US, Australia... "I question why Vietnam still lacks a playground with global standards to attract regional and world talents to Vietnam," Thanh Bui said.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Pham Minh Toan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch - emphasized: "VIMAF is the reality for the cultural industry mission in the current context of Vietnam, opening the border to connect Vietnamese art with the world, instead of bringing opportunities to develop talent domestically and in provinces and cities".

The organizers emphasized that VIMAF 2025 is not only an art festival but also a journey of connection, where music , performing arts and creative education intersect with the spirit of international integration. Through VIMAF, Vietnam affirms its position as “Asia’s new cultural and artistic destination”, bringing young Vietnamese and Southeast Asian talents to the world.

"VIMAF is not just a festival, but a launching pad - where young artistic talents are connected, inspired and empowered to turn their passion into a career, bringing Vietnam to the international stage," People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association (VCIDA), emphasized.
