In today's digital age, time management is more important than ever, especially for those in their 20s. However, many young people still make mistakes that cause them to waste time. And time, once gone, cannot be recovered.

I often get asked: How do you manage your time?

One of the biggest mistakes in your 20s is spending too much time on social media. Scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or playing games for extended periods not only reduces productivity but also negatively impacts mental health.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, is known for adopting a work schedule broken down into 5-minute time slots.

Musk divides his workday into small blocks of time, allowing him to optimize his work and tackle multiple different issues within a single day.

This time management method helps Musk maintain high productivity while managing multiple large projects simultaneously.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, is famous for his early morning habit. He typically starts his workday at 3:45 a.m. and dedicates his mornings to planning. By taking time in the morning to think and plan, Cook is able to effectively manage one of the world's largest and most successful companies.

These examples show that, no matter how busy you are, effective time management is always key to success.

"The Ivy Lee method" I've been applying since I started working.

Every night, before going to bed, write down the six most important tasks you need to complete the next day.

Arrange those six tasks in order of priority, from most important to least important.

When starting your workday, focus entirely on the first task on your list until it's completed, then move on to the next task.

If any tasks remain unfinished by the end of the day, they will be moved to the list of the 6 most important tasks for the following day.

How can you manage your time effectively in your 20s?

First, it's essential to clearly define your goals: Knowing what you want to achieve will help you focus your time and energy on important tasks.

Use a calendar or task management app to plan your daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.

Knowing how to break down a large task into smaller, more manageable steps makes it easier to execute.

Utilize online applications and tools to increase work efficiency.

Don't forget to take time to rest and recharge.

Learn to say "No" to decline unimportant requests so you can focus on your goals.

And at the end of each day, evaluate your performance and find ways to improve. Effective time management helps those in their 20s optimize their time, achieve success in their work, and find happiness in their lives.
