Dliê Ya youth promote the tradition of revolutionary homeland

Those precious traditions are being continued to be promoted by the young generation of the commune - those born and raised in peace - to build local development.

The whole commune has more than 4,000 union members, young people (YU) from 16 to 30 years old. With the spirit of "Wherever there is a need, there is youth, wherever there is difficulty, there is youth", the commune's Union regularly organizes activities and movements, especially implementing projects and tasks for youth to participate in the socio -economic development of the locality, always being the "leading flag" in the activities and volunteer movements of the youth of Krong Nang district.

The youth project "Lighting up the countryside roads" in Ea Rue village was implemented by the Dlie Ya Commune Youth Union mobilizing social resources.

From 2019 to 2024, the Commune Youth Union has built 14 youth projects and works worth over 250 million VND from socialized funding sources. Typical examples include: building 3 volleyball courts; supporting life buoys to prevent drowning in schools; repainting 2 community cultural houses; building playgrounds for children, youth bookcases, and 0-dong booths... In particular, the "Long-distance support" program has mobilized funds to support 53 free lunches for disadvantaged students of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary and Secondary School, worth 108 million VND/year. Recently, the Commune Youth Union continued to mobilize 150 more free lunches for disadvantaged students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, with a total cost of 100 million VND/year.

From the beginning of 2025 until now, the Commune Youth Union has carried out two youth projects "Lighting up the Countryside Roads" (worth more than 70 million VND) with a length of 2 km installed on the road of Ea Rue village to help people and students travel conveniently at night, reducing traffic accidents, theft, etc.; coordinated with Ama Trang Long Secondary School to build a youth project " Sovereignty Marker of Truong Sa Island", with a total cost of more than 10 million VND.

Teacher Nguyen Van An, Vice Principal of Ama Trang Long Secondary School said: "As a school in a remote area with many difficult conditions, the knowledge about the sea and islands provided to students is not yet rich. Therefore, the model "Sovereignty Landmark of Truong Sa Island" is a place for the school to promote and help students improve their knowledge about Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands; at the same time, it makes Truong Sa and Hoang Sa more familiar and is also a way for the school to educate and arouse love and responsibility for the Fatherland, for the sea and islands of the homeland in each student".

The "Sovereignty Landmark of Truong Sa Island" project at Ama Trang Long Secondary School was funded by the Dliê Ya Commune Youth Union.

Secretary of the Dlie Ya Commune Youth Union, Lam Thi Niem, said that during the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Dlie Ya Commune was a revolutionary base, where the provincial resistance command headquarters were located. This was also a place to store food, provisions, and weapons, and where revolutionary bases and movements developed strongly, especially the Dlie Ya Commune Guerrilla Team.

Therefore, the Youth Union of the commune is always proud and grateful to the previous generation who devoted and sacrificed for the Fatherland. The Youth Union of the commune determines to regularly improve the understanding of history for the Youth Union, helping to arouse in them self-respect and national pride, so that they can see their responsibility to society and the task of building and developing their homeland. Thanks to that, the movements and volunteer activities for the community and society in recent times have always attracted a large number of enthusiastic Youth Union members to respond and actively participate.

In the coming time, the Dliê Ya Commune Youth Union will continue to take advantage of relationships with charitable organizations and individuals to mobilize contributions and support funding for the activities of the Commune Youth Union. From there, it will contribute to taking good care of social security activities in the locality such as: visiting and giving gifts to policy families, people in difficult circumstances, giving scholarships to poor students, giving gifts to young people leaving for military service, etc.
