At the ceremony, the Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University reviewed the historical years and heroic traditions of the Union. From there, it demonstrated the role of the youth in inheriting and promoting the tradition of initiative and creativity in building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Youth Union of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University has so far held 16 congresses and has developed in both quantity and quality. This organization is considered a pioneer in all areas from studying, scientific research to volunteering and integration activities for nearly 8,000 union members in the school. Over time, the Youth Union has become stronger and stronger, an inseparable part and has made many great contributions to the youth movement of the school as well as of Hue University.

Some notable movements of the school’s union members include participation in improving people’s health, preventing epidemics, providing medical examination and treatment for people; the green summer campaign; a series of activities on academic counseling, scientific research among students, the Green Sunday program, etc.

Outstanding members were honored at the ceremony

Doctor Vo Duc Toan - Secretary of the Youth Union said that in the recent period, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University has had many developments and innovations in training, medical examination and treatment, and health care for the people. The Youth Union of Medicine and Pharmacy is honored to contribute a part of its efforts in that process, and at the same time understands the responsibility of the Youth Union organization, of each Youth Union officer, Youth Union member, and student in the development of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy according to the "School - Institute" model, becoming auniversity that meets national and regional standards, with training programs that meet regional accreditation standards, and aiming to meet international standards.

“It can be said that the health sector today no longer faces the fierce divisions of war, but there are still real difficulties such as overloaded health care services, low awareness of disease prevention among the people, and especially the complicated developments and consequences of the epidemic situation. To overcome these difficulties, young people in the health sector will always improve their knowledge, cultivate ethics, and practice skills with specific, effective and meaningful programs of activities and work,” affirmed Doctor - Secretary of the School Youth Union Vo Duc Toan.

On this occasion, the School Youth Union also honored 59 outstanding members with many outstanding achievements in studying and training, scientific research and movement activities.
