"Youth remembers Uncle Ho's Will and follows in his footsteps" in 2024

On August 28, at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site (Hanoi), the Central Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with units to organize the program "Youth remembers Uncle Ho's Testament and follows in his footsteps" in 2024.

This is one of the activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament (1969 - 2024), an opportunity for the youth of the Central Youth Union to express their respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh; at the same time, draw lessons from the process of implementing his Testament to continue to better perform their duties.

The program "Youth remembers the Testament following Uncle Ho's footsteps" in 2024 is one of the activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

The program consists of two main parts: "Uncle Ho's Testament and its value to the young generation" and "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style - Nurturing the young generation according to President Ho Chi Minh's Testament".

In a solemn atmosphere at a special location, associated with the time Uncle Ho lived and worked, the union members and outstanding young people watched the report "Youth remembers the Will following in Uncle Ho's footsteps"; listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Bao, former Acting Head of the Ho Chi Minh Ideology Department (Academy of Journalism and Communication) share about the birth circumstances, core content, value and meaning of President Ho Chi Minh's Will as well as being moved when listening to simple, profound stories about the 15 years Uncle lived and worked at the Presidential Palace, told by Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site Cu Thi Minh.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Bao, former Acting Head of the Ho Chi Minh Ideology Department (Academy of Journalism and Communication) shares about the birth, core content, value and significance of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

In addition, the delegates also exchanged and discussed the role of Vietnamese youth in realizing the aspiration of Vietnam 2045 associated with the instructions and messages that Uncle Ho wrote in his Will, with the participation of many young people in discussion and sharing:

Dr. Nguyen Dieu Linh (30 years old, lecturer at the Vietnam Youth Academy); Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung, specialist of the Central Youth Union's Organizing Committee, admitted to the Party at the age of 18, is an exemplary Party member in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2024; Mr. Dang Cao Cuong, Head of the Comic Book Editorial Board (Kim Dong Publishing House), a typical advanced model commended at the Conference of typical advanced models of the Central Youth Union...

Youth union members and outstanding youths listened to simple and profound stories about the 15 years Uncle Ho lived and worked at the Presidential Palace, told by Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site Cu Thi Minh.

Looking back at 55 years of implementing Uncle Ho's Testament, delegates agreed that, as a revolutionary shock force, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union needs to continue to clearly affirm its role as a "socialist school for youth". Each cadre, young party member, union member and youth needs to be imbued with and take the lead in studying and following Uncle Ho, contributing to promoting the spirit of shock, realizing Uncle Ho's wish for a Vietnam "standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers".

Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung, an expert of the Central Youth Union's Organizing Committee, was admitted to the Party at the age of 18 and is an exemplary Party member in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in 2024, shared at the program.
