According to the district's Department of Agriculture and Environment, by the end of 2024, Tuy Phuoc will have 52 OCOP products, including 49 3-star OCOP products and 3 4-star OCOP products, including: Nam Cong bird's nest of Le Van Cong business household (Phuoc Son commune), Magic Ngon chili sauce of Phuoc An Company Limited (Phuoc An commune) and Ba Nhiem salted lemon of Ba Nhiem facility (Phuoc Nghia commune).
In Phuoc Hoa commune, when mentioning pork roll, many people will think of Thuy Dat Nem Cha Facility. The facility has been in operation for more than 20 years, with a large number of traditional customers. In 2024, the owner Cao Thi Bich Thuy decided to apply for a 3-star OCOP product and was recognized. “The biggest impression on me after the product was labeled was the attitude of customers - even regular customers, they still showed more peace of mind. Especially new customers, not only buy to try it out, but they also immediately introduce it to friends and acquaintances,” Ms. Thuy shared.

In December 2024, the product of Mrs. Nhiem's salted lemon of Mrs. Nhiem's establishment (Phuoc Nghia commune) was one of two products of Tuy Phuoc to be upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars. Ms. Nguyen Vu My Nguyen, the owner of the establishment, said: After the product achieved 3-star OCOP in 2023, realizing the clear benefits of being OCOP certified, I made efforts to invest in upgrading the product, participating in many fairs, expanding the market in all three regions of the North, Central and South. Just one year later, we were successful in being recognized as a 4-star OCOP product.
Obviously, the OCOP program helps to unleash potentials and advantages, promote the development of Tuy Phuoc rural economy , increase people's income, and contribute to building a new rural area in depth and sustainably. However, the number of products and enterprises participating in OCOP evaluation and ranking is still small compared to the potential and uneven among localities.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Xuan, Standing Vice Chairman of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee, said that in the coming time, the district will proactively review and guide enterprises, production establishments, cooperatives, and business households to continue improving the quality, processes, and traceability of products to register to participate in the program and develop OCOP products. Coordinate with consulting units, guide subjects to complete product recognition dossiers; advise the Council to evaluate and classify OCOP products in accordance with regulations. The district strives to have 11 more products evaluated and recognized as 3-star OCOP and 1 product upgraded to 4 stars. At the same time, organize the re-evaluation and recognition of 8 expired products.
Along with that, the district will also coordinate with departments and branches to support the development of a traceability process, register priority product trademarks for OCOP products, and identify agricultural products that need consumption support, work with major agricultural distributors and processors nationwide to form sustainable agricultural product consumption channels. Promote trade promotion activities, programs to connect supply and demand of goods, industrial products, small-scale industry, and OCOP products to find and expand product consumption markets.
“We also request the Department of Industry and Trade to support enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households in the area to develop e-commerce distribution channels, making it easier for individuals and enterprises to introduce and bring their OCOP products to customers, contributing to improving competitiveness and promoting market development,” said Mr. Xuan.
