On the afternoon of June 8, the Vietnamese team had a training session at UM Arena, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), preparing for the match against the host team Malaysia in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. Before the training session, midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang shared about the team's situation before the important match considered the "final" of Group F.

Coach Kim Sang Sik informed us very carefully about the special qualities of the naturalized players on the Malaysian side. They all have a very high physical foundation and professional quality, so the Vietnamese team prepared carefully to be ready to confront them.

The head coach and tactical analysts help us understand our opponents better. Each player in the team is assigned specific tasks to respond to situations during the match,” Ngoc Quang said.

“We studied the videos from their previous matches. The coaching staff also made specific preparations and analyzed carefully to have an effective plan to deal with Malaysia,” the HAGL player added.

Regarding the integration of Vietnamese-American defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, Chau Ngoc Quang commented: "Vinh is a new player, but the process of living and training with the team shows that he is a very cheerful, sociable person and is integrating very well. In some training sessions, the coaching staff arranged for me to play with Quang Vinh to increase the connection."

“Since the training session, the Vietnamese team has always been ready. The players are in a very relaxed state, and their professionalism is clearly demonstrated in each training session. Regarding the away field disadvantage, there is definitely pressure, but it is only a small pressure. If we can stay focused, the cheers of the audience will not affect the team's fighting spirit much," Chau Ngoc Quang concluded.
