Meanwhile, in the US market, the US Dollar Index (DXY) measuring the greenback's fluctuations against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) decreased by 0.18% to 99.83.

The US dollar continued to fall against many other currencies following US President Donald Trump's tariff policies, as well as a comprehensive tax cut and spending bill.
Meanwhile, the euro hit a one-month high against the dollar on Friday after US President Donald Trump backed away from a threat to impose 50% tariffs on European Union (EU) shipments from June 1, before a better deal was reached.

Accordingly, the EUR increased by 0.55%, reaching 1.1418 USD for the first time since April 29. This currency increased by 0.17% in the last trading session, reaching 1.1375 USD. Since the beginning of the year, this currency has increased by about 10%.
Much of the decline in the US dollar over the past few months has benefited the EUR, as investors have targeted a range of markets outside the US.
"The European common currency can become a viable alternative to the US dollar, the world's reserve currency, if governments can strengthen the bloc's financial and security architecture," European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said on May 26 in Berlin.
Meanwhile, the British pound rose 0.39%, reaching its highest level since February 2022 and closed the trading session up 0.15%, reaching 1.356 USD.
The safe-haven yen and Swiss franc fell amid improved investor sentiment. The dollar rose 0.2% against the Japanese yen to 142.84 and was steady against the Swiss franc at 0.821 franc.
US President Donald Trump said he would delay the deadline for imposing a 50% tariff on EU goods from June 1 to July 9 to facilitate negotiations.
The statement was made by Mr. Trump after a May 25 call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who mentioned that she “wanted to negotiate seriously,” according to President Trump's account.
The announcement, while encouraging for investors, is a stark reminder that US trade policy can continue to change abruptly.
Earlier, in a social media post on May 23, Mr. Trump proposed imposing a 50% import tax on the EU, starting June 1. He explained that the EU was very difficult to negotiate with and that the discussions were going nowhere. This tax is 2.5 times higher than the reciprocal tax that the US imposes on the EU.
On the same day, May 25, Mr. Trump also said that the spending and tax cut bill is likely to see significant changes in the Senate.
The House version of the bill is calculated to add about $3.8 trillion to the federal government's $36.2 trillion debt over the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
The market predicts the US dollar is on a multi-year decline path, said Chris Weston, director of research at Pepperstone.
