On April 29, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong to the USD at 24,956, down 4 VND compared to April 28 and will keep this exchange rate unchanged on May 2 and 3.
With a trading band of ±5% compared to the central rate, the ceiling rate applied is 26,204 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,708 VND/USD.

In the banking market, the VND/USD exchange rate continues to increase. Specifically, at Vietcombank , the exchange rate updated at 9:52 is 25,770 - 26,160 (buy - sell), down 10 VND in both directions.
At BIDV bank, the buying and selling rates of USD this morning also decreased by 10 VND compared to April 28 when they were listed at 25,800 - 26,160 (buy - sell).
Updated at 10am, the exchange rate at VietinBank was 25,793 - 26,153 (buy - sell), up 193 VND in the buying direction but down 17 VND in the selling direction.
In the free market, the USD/VND exchange rate increased by 10 VND in both directions compared to the previous session, currently listed at around 26,390 - 26,490 VND/USD.
