On the evening of June 9 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC), the U.19 Vietnam women's team faced the U.19 Myanmar women's team in the opening match of Group A of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship. Myanmar women's football has always been a tough opponent for Vietnamese girls at all team levels. However, the U.19 Vietnam women's team was still rated higher and controlled the game from the first minutes of the match.

In the 35th minute, from a free kick on the right wing, Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh created a beautiful curve that completely overwhelmed the Myanmar goalkeeper, helping the host Vietnam take a 1-0 lead.
After the opening goal, the Vietnamese girls played extremely excitedly. In the 38th and 39th minutes, Nguyen Thu Trang and Luu Hoang Van had good chances to double the gap, but failed to take advantage. In the 40th minute, Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu did this. This continued to be an impressive goal by the U.19 Vietnam women's team.
