U.20 Vietnam latest match against Thailand, China at Asian Finals

According to the draw results, the Vietnam U.20 women's team is in the same group with Thailand, China and Bangladesh at the 2026 AFC U.20 Women's Championship finals.

On the afternoon of November 10, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the draw for the 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Championship. Accordingly, the Vietnam U-20 women's team is in Group A with host Thailand, China and Bangladesh.

The Chinese U.20 women's team is highly rated in Group A. In the qualifying round, this team won all 3 matches, scored 21 goals and did not concede. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese U.20 women's team and Thailand are both familiar opponents, often facing each other in youth tournaments in Southeast Asia. Most recently, in the final of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 women's team held in June 2025 at Thong Nhat Stadium, the young team of the land of the golden pagoda won 3-1 against the Vietnamese girls.

Regarding the draw results, the head coach of the Vietnam U.20 women's team commented: "The draw results and the order of the matches have been decided. First of all, to prepare for the first match against China, I want to carefully analyze my opponent. The second match will be against host Thailand. I want to turn the regret at the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship into motivation to prepare and win.

In the third match against Bangladesh, the whole team will be determined to win all 3 points to achieve the goal of advancing to the quarter-finals and aiming for the following goals. We will prepare together very carefully to win a ticket to participate in the World Cup for the first time."

The 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Championship will have 12 teams competing, divided equally into 3 groups. According to the regulations, the teams will compete in a round robin, calculating points. The first and second-placed teams in each group, along with the two third-placed teams with the best results, will advance to the quarter-finals. The four semi-finalists of the 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Championship will directly qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

The 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Championship will take place in Thailand, from April 1 to April 18, 2026.
