U16 Vietnam gathers to prepare for friendly match in China

On the morning of May 8, Coach Cristiano Roland officially announced the list of 30 U16 Vietnam players to prepare for the 2025 CFA Team China U16 International Tournament.

At the 2025 CFA Team China International U16 Tournament, Vietnam U16 is scheduled to compete against Australia U16 (1:00 p.m., May 28), China U16 (6:35 p.m., May 30) and Saudi Arabia U16 (1:00 p.m., June 1).

This tournament is also a premise to help U16 Vietnam perfect its force towards the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers. The coaching staff hopes that the players will improve their skills after competing with the continent's top teams.

In the list announced by coach Cristiano Roland, most of the players come from training centers with good achievements over the years such as PVF, The Cong - Viettel , Hanoi and Song Lam Nghe An.

Among them are goalkeeper Ly Xuan Hoa - Best goalkeeper of the 2024 National U15 Tournament, striker Nguyen Van Duong - Best player, Top scorer of the 2024 National U15 Tournament, midfielder Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc - who played as a starter for the Vietnam U17 team at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship.

According to the plan, U16 Vietnam will practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ) from May 10. On May 23, the team will leave for Hohhot city (Inner Mongolia, China) to participate in the CFA Team China 2025 International U16 Tournament.
