Both the U19 Vietnam women's team and the U19 Myanmar women's team needed a win in the opening match this afternoon (June 9). Therefore, the two teams entered the match with great determination. The U19 Myanmar women's team started the match very well, they had the opportunity to score the first goal. In the first minute, Sandar Lin escaped down the left wing and then shot diagonally, fortunately goalkeeper Le Thi Thu was alert and excellently pushed the ball away, saving a goal for the home team.
The escape helped the U19 women's team of Vietnam play more focused afterwards, but it must be admitted that the U19 women's team of Myanmar had the level, demonstrated good tactics and techniques as well as a strong physical foundation, so they were not inferior to the home team. The match on the field was quite balanced with tit-for-tat attacks on each other's goal. In the first 30 minutes, the two teams organized the match quite tightly, so few opportunities were created.
The turning point of the match came in the 35th minute when Okiyama Masahiko's students were awarded a direct free kick on the left wing, about 20m from the Myanmar U19 women's goal.
Thuy Linh took a beautiful shot, sending the ball into the top corner, scoring the first goal for the home team. Two minutes later, the home team almost doubled their advantage if Thu Trang had scored successfully.

In the second half, Myanmar U19 women tried to increase the speed of the match in the hope of finding an equalizer, but Vietnam U19 women organized the match well when the defense played focused, so it was not difficult to predict and effectively cut off the long passes for the forwards to race ahead.
For their part, Okiyama Masahiko's students also quickly deployed when they had the opportunity to attack. However, the U19 Vietnam women's team did not have any more goals in the second half of the match.
