After a day of rest and recovery at the hotel, on the afternoon of November 17, the U22 Vietnam team returned to the training ground, continuing to complete preparations for the final match against U22 Korea in the framework of the international friendly tournament CFA Team China - Panda Cup 2025.

In the past two matches, the team of acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh won 1-0 against U22 China in the opening match and unfortunately lost 0-1 to U22 Uzbekistan. Although they did not get any points in the second match, U22 Vietnam left a positive impression when they played hard, creating many clear opportunities in the second half but lacked a bit of precision in the decisive moves.

This afternoon's training session took place in a serious but relaxed atmosphere. The coaching staff focused on adjusting the amount of exercise, combining recovery exercises with tactical content, to help the players maintain a good physical foundation and maintain concentration before the final match.

Previously, coach Dinh Hong Vinh emphasized that the encounter with U22 Korea (a team with strong physical foundation, high speed and modern playing style) is an important opportunity for U22 Vietnam to continue to evaluate the force, hone their competitive spirit and perfect tactical pieces before the peak preparation stage towards SEA Games 33 and the 2026 U23 Asian Finals.

A significant mental support for U22 Vietnam is the result of the most recent confrontation between the two teams. At the CFA Team China tournament in March 2025, U22 Vietnam made a strong impression when holding U22 Korea to a 1-1 draw.

In that match, Thanh Nhan accelerated to score the opening goal in the 52nd minute, before Kim Woo-bin equalized 1-1 in injury time. This draw showed that U22 Vietnam, with careful preparation and a focused playing spirit, can completely create surprises against strong opponents in the region.

According to the schedule, the match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Korea will take place at 2:30 p.m. (Vietnam time) on November 18. This is considered an important rehearsal step for the team before entering the journey towards key tasks in 2026.
