UAE shares in the damage caused by floods in Vietnam

In response to the loss of life and property caused by floods in Vietnam, on August 5, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent condolences and expressed solidarity with the Vietnamese people.

Information from the UAE Embassy in Vietnam said that in the message, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote: "The UAE expresses solidarity with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the face of human losses due to floods caused by heavy rains, leaving many people dead, injured and missing."

In addition, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Vietnam, and wished the injured victims a speedy recovery.

It is known that in recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3 (storm Wipha) and prolonged heavy rain, many northern mountainous provinces and North Central provinces such as Dien Bien , Son La and Nghe An have suffered serious floods and landslides.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province as of August 5, prolonged heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides in many mountainous communes of Dien Bien province, killing 10 people, injuring 7 people, affecting hundreds of houses, causing estimated damage of about 500 billion VND. In Nghe An, the floods killed 4 people, injured 4 people, affected nearly 7,100 houses, causing economic damage of more than 3,390 billion VND. In Son La, floods killed 5 people, left 1 person missing and caused heavy damage to state and people's property.
