The Provincial People's Committee met to discuss solutions to remove difficulties and promote industrial production in the fourth quarter of 2025.

On the morning of November 3, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to reports on the production, consumption, distribution and difficulties in the mining, electricity, energy and industrial sectors in the province in the fourth quarter of 2025. Due to the impact of weather, tariff fluctuations in the world in recent times have affected the production and consumption of many industrial production sectors. In particular, for the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, in the first 9 months of 2025, only nearly 40 million tons of coal were consumed, equal to 67% of the plan, with a large amount of coal in inventory. For the electricity production industry, due to prolonged rains, priority was given to mobilizing hydropower, thermal power plants in the province had to operate at minimum capacity and in 10 months only reached 78% of the production plan. Some industrial processing and manufacturing products under the management of the Industry and Trade sector and in industrial parks under the monitoring of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board have high value, such as: vegetable oil, wheat flour, cotton yarn, floor panels, knitted fabrics, solar panels, electric bicycles, cars... have not reached the production output compared to the plan.

At the meeting, businesses proposed that the province support the Central Government in reporting to increase the electricity output from thermal power plants in Quang Ninh to the national grid to promote the production and consumption of coal, electricity and supporting industries; complete the procedures for projects to increase mine capacity; speed up the completion of infrastructure in industrial parks, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Anh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of enterprises in the province in overcoming difficulties in the context of the production and consumption chain of domestic and international products, making an important contribution to the economic growth of Quang Ninh province since the beginning of the year. He asked enterprises to continue reviewing the room for productivity increase. With the goal of the highest determination to complete the province's GRDP growth target of over 14%, Quang Ninh province accompanies units to implement solutions to promote output in the last 2 months of the year. To ensure this, relevant departments, branches and localities focus on removing remaining difficulties to promote production of enterprises at the highest level.
