That is the result of a CNN investigation after the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) was attacked by drones and on the ground.
RSF is reportedly receiving assistance from Russia's private military company Wagner in its confrontation with the Sudanese army for control of the country.
A Ukrainian military source told CNN that the attacks did not appear to have been carried out by the Sudanese military. When asked if Kiev was behind them, the source said it was likely the work of Ukrainian special services.

CNN could not independently confirm the involvement of Ukrainian forces in the series of attacks, but a video obtained by the station revealed the hallmarks of a drone attack that Ukraine often carries out.
Two commercially available UAVs, widely used by Ukrainians, were involved in at least eight attacks. The footage also shows Ukrainian writing on the drone’s controls.
According to experts, the tactic of flying straight into the target of these UAVs is "almost never used in Sudan and the whole African region".

Several attacks took place in and around Omdurman, on the opposite bank of the Nile from the capital Khartoum, which has become the epicenter of Sudan’s conflict. According to CNN, many of the attacks targeted the Shambat Bridge connecting Omdurman and Khartoum and could take place on September 8.
Just two days before this date, a large weapons convoy protected by Wagner entered the southwestern region of Sudan through the border crossing with Chad, according to another senior Sudanese military source.

If confirmed, the attacks would significantly expand the UAV confrontation between Ukraine and Russia, with other Ukrainian UAVs repeatedly attacking Russian territory and recently Russian-controlled areas.
Ukraine has not officially claimed responsibility for the attacks CNN documented.
A senior Sudanese military source said he had “no knowledge of Ukrainian activity in Sudan” and did not believe it was true.
Several US officials expressed surprise when asked to comment on the suggestion that Ukraine was involved in the incident.
