The video timer feature allows users to set a time to automatically stop playing videos after a certain period of time. This feature is especially useful for people who often watch videos before going to bed, helping to avoid the situation where the video continues to play after falling asleep.

YouTube Music already has a music timer, but the main YouTube app on Android still lacks a similar feature. With the large amount of relaxing videos and music on Google's video sharing platform, adding a video timer is considered a reasonable move and is expected by many users.
