Currently, students at all levels are preparing to enter the summer vacation. The Youth Union and the Young Pioneer Council have proactively developed plans to organize activities for children in the summer. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Hoang The Hanh said: Promoting the role of the Youth Union - Young Pioneer organization in caring for and educating children, in recent years, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council have actively directed the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province to implement many useful and interesting activities, attracting children to participate, especially in the summer. In addition to sports and art courses such as: Badminton, table tennis, football, drawing, piano, swimming... the Youth Union also coordinates to organize many skill training classes such as: Drowning prevention; fire prevention and fighting; drug prevention; self-protection skills; sex education... for students, union members and young people. At the same time, actively call for and mobilize resources to build playgrounds for children in communes, wards, towns, residential areas, etc., contributing to creating healthy and safe playgrounds for young people.

Together with the Youth Union, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has also actively implemented many practical activities to protect, care for and educate children. Regularly coordinating to organize training courses, disseminate knowledge about health care, safe motherhood, raising children according to scientific methods, the "Raising healthy children - teaching good children" club... attracting thousands of members and women to participate. Women's Union branches at the grassroots level have increased the organization of thematic talks, club activities, and seminars to exchange experiences in building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family, helping children live in a healthy environment and enjoy the thoughtful care of their families. Models such as "Families without malnourished children"; "Managing and educating children and siblings to not violate the law and social evils"... are increasingly being replicated.
Health care and nutrition for children have been significantly improved, with the rate of children under 1 year old fully vaccinated in 2024 reaching 75%. Based on the current nutritional situation and local conditions, the health sector has actively advised the province to carry out important nutritional interventions that determine the development of children's stature and physical strength, such as: Nutritional care in the first 1,000 days of life, nutrition for pregnant and lactating mothers; prevention of malnutrition and stunting; prevention of micronutrient deficiencies, etc. for children. Coordinate training and consultation for mothers and caregivers to diversify and enrich foods, build daily menus for children with nutritious food sources, available locally, ensuring freshness, cleanliness and safety. As a result, the rate of underweight children under 5 years old in 2024 will decrease by 0.17% compared to 2023; the rate of stunted children under 5 years old will decrease by 0.06% compared to 2023.

According to statistics, the total number of children under 16 years old in the province is 282,637 (accounting for 31.5% of the province's population), of which 659 are orphans; 963 are homeless; and 3,938 are disabled. In recent times, all levels and sectors have organized communication activities in many forms to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of agencies, organizations, educational institutions, families and individuals on child care. Propagating and disseminating knowledge and skills on child protection and care to each school, village, hamlet, and residential group; mobilizing social resources to build schools, classrooms, boarding houses, playgrounds, and entertainment areas for children. Visiting, giving gifts, and awarding scholarships to children in difficult circumstances who are excelling in their studies; Support examination and surgery for children with congenital malformations, poor children with cancer... Thereby, contributing to caring for, protecting, and building a safe and healthy living environment for children to develop comprehensively.
