Attending the event were Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - Director of the People's Credit Fund, Tay Ninh branch, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Van - President of the Provincial Women's Union, and more than 30 delegates who are leaders and key officials of the two units.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Van - President of the Provincial Women's Union said that over the years, the Union has always focused on exploiting and effectively managing capital sources to support women. Programs such as hygiene credit, women's savings, "Accompanying poor women" ... have all been implemented closely by the Union, in accordance with the purpose, preserving and promoting the effectiveness of capital sources.
“With the desire to entrust capital sources to credit institutions with prestige, expertise and professionalism so that disadvantaged women have more opportunities to access capital for production and business, the Association has proactively consulted and coordinated with the provincial Social Policy Bank to sign the entrustment contract,” Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Van emphasized.
Representative of the Provincial Social Policy Bank, Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - Branch Director highly appreciated the role of the Provincial Women's Union in coordinating the implementation of policy credit at the grassroots level: "The Union is always active in evaluating, introducing loan subjects, propagating and guiding the effective use of capital. Thanks to that, the rate of overdue debt in programs entrusted through the Union is only 0.17%, while the capital recovery rate is over 99%".
Currently, the total outstanding loan balance managed by the Provincial Women's Union is over VND463 billion, accounting for 31% of the total outstanding loan balance through socio -political organizations in the area. The Union is managing 792 savings and loan groups, with about 37,000 borrowers, accounting for nearly 31% of the total number of customers of the Provincial Social Policy Bank.
Notably, the Provincial Women's Union is the first socio-political organization to entrust capital from socialized mobilization sources, with a total amount of over 4.3 billion VND.
“Although the amount is not large, this is an important step forward, opening up opportunities for women in difficult circumstances to access preferential capital to develop production, create jobs, and escape poverty,” Mr. Dao Anh Tuan affirmed.
The signing ceremony not only demonstrates the unity and consensus between the two units in the goal of supporting women, but also a commitment to long-term coordination in using public, transparent, and appropriate funding sources for the right purposes.
In the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote credit policy propaganda, provide professional training for savings and loan groups, and closely monitor the capital use process at the grassroots level to ensure the effectiveness and quality of policy credit.
The signing of this trust contract will actively contribute to sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction and socio -economic development of the province.
