Mr. Dat shared that he has learned many things from Uncle Ho, from the will to overcome difficulties, rise up, the spirit of thrift to a compassionate lifestyle. He considers learning from Uncle Ho as a process of daily accumulation, without stopping. It is Uncle Ho's resilient and unyielding mindset in the face of hardship that gives Mr. Dat strength every time he faces challenges at work.
He always tells himself that small difficulties cannot make him give up, but must be strong and rise up to complete the tasks assigned by his superiors. As Secretary of Tan My Chanh Commune Union, Mr. Dat and the Executive Committee of the Commune Union have carried out many meaningful activities, bringing practical benefits to the community.
Some of the programs include: “Young doctors follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” with activities of medical examination and free medicine for policy families, poor households and disadvantaged households. In addition, he and the Youth Union officials and members also actively participate in repairing, renovating and lighting up rural roads, and building model flower roads.
In particular, programs such as: Repairing and helping to build "Houses of Charity", "Red Scarf House", "Lighting up dreams", "For the future of Tien Giang ", "For beloved juniors" or activities of "repaying gratitude", "remembering the source of drinking water" have demonstrated the spirit of charity and responsibility of the youth.
Not only stopping at annual activities, Mr. Dat and the Executive Committee of Tan My Chanh Commune Union also have many effective and practical initiatives and models that are highly appreciated by the community, typically the models: "Ten o'clock flower route", "Supporting seedlings for disadvantaged youth", "Classifying waste at source, exchanging waste for gifts", "Friendship piggy bank", "Supporting disadvantaged youth to develop careers", "Zero-dong bus trip", "Exchanging waste for new notebooks", "Social security bags", "Digital transformation boarding house"...
These models not only contribute to improving people's lives, but also raise community awareness, creating positive changes.

In 2024, Tan My Chanh Commune Youth Union effectively coordinated with the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and commune organizations to carry out many practical activities to care for people and build model new rural areas.
With a total budget of over 382 million VND for social security activities and building new rural areas such as the programs: "Compassionate Tet market", "Support for drought and salinity areas"; coordinating to give gifts to poor households, near-poor households and disadvantaged households; organizing free medical examinations and medicine for the elderly and disadvantaged households; organizing the program "School Dentistry "; "Giving gifts to students in difficult circumstances"... implementing many social security activities and building new rural models, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of volunteerism of young people for the community.
The continuous efforts of Mr. Dat and Tan My Chanh Commune Union have been recognized and rewarded by all levels and sectors, such as: Tan My Chanh Commune Union has received Certificates of Merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee and Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union for many consecutive years.
Mr. Dat was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Youth Union Cadres nationwide winning the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2023 and a Certificate of Merit for the title of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings nationwide for the 8th time in 2025.
For Mr. Huynh Phat Dat, studying and following Uncle Ho is not only a responsibility, but also an obligation of a young man. He always keeps in mind: “Studying and following Uncle Ho, I try to contribute to society as much useful work as possible, for the development of my homeland. Thereby, helping people, youth, and children in difficult circumstances, I consider it my duty and responsibility.
In the coming time, I will continue to study and follow Uncle Ho more, in order to bring more good benefits and values to society, especially to people, union members, and youth in difficult circumstances."
