There are more than 60 Android apps infected with malware that need to be removed immediately.

Security researchers discovered the Goldoson malware, which they say can collect a list of apps installed on a mobile device, the names of connected devices synced to the phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as well as nearby GPS locations.

In addition, this software can also perform advertising fraud by clicking on ads that run in the background without the user's consent.

Both Google and developers have been notified of the malware. Affected apps have been removed from the malware, and if other developers do not remove the malware from their apps, Google has removed it from the Play Store.

Some of the apps with over 10 million installs that have had malware removed include L.POINT with L.PAY, Money Manager Expense & Budget, TMAP, and Genie Music. Meanwhile, Swipe Brick Breaker, which had over 10 million installs, has been removed because it has not made changes. A detailed list can be found on McAfee's website.

Furthermore, just because an app has been cleared of malware by its developer and passed Google's safety test, that doesn't mean it can't steal personal data or commit ad fraud.
