On December 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33/2014 of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development. Attending the conference were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai.

Information at the conference said that after 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33 and Action Program No. 45/2015 of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, awareness of the role of culture among Party committees, authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City has been raised, clearly demonstrated in awareness and action.

In particular, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Thanh Son said that implementing Resolution No. 33, the unit has organized many contents. Typical examples are the model "Tet Street Corner" in District 1; "Greening Alleys" in District 3; "Anti-littering Flower Street" in Binh Chanh District...

From a local perspective, Vice Chairman of District 5 People's Committee Nguyen Vo Xuan Ky informed that recently the district has mobilized and guided the Management Boards of guild halls and management boards of relics to establish rules and regulations when visiting. Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai assessed that the most comprehensive result after 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33 is that the attention and effective investment in culture has been better implemented by Party committees at all levels, the government system, and relevant forces. Thanks to that, the contribution of culture to the development of Ho Chi Minh City is more and more obvious.

Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City continues to implement Resolution No. 33 and Conclusion No. 76/2020 of the Politburo on continuing to implement this resolution. He requested the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee to preside over and coordinate to update and supplement the action program of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee related to the above content in conjunction with the concretization of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and standards of Vietnamese people in Ho Chi Minh City. He also said that he will direct the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to develop a plan to implement these contents.
