In the context ofeducation strongly transforming towards developing qualities and abilities, VHHĐ is increasingly recognized as an indispensable foundation. However, in reality, there are still many challenges when a small number of students and teachers show deviant behavior.
This raises an urgent need to build a clear and unified system of values for VHHĐ, to guide behavior and spread good qualities in the educational community.

Classroom culture is not simply a set of rules of conduct or slogans hanging on the classroom wall, but a vibrant living environment where students are shaped into individuals, practice life skills, and thereby develop a strong character in their journey to adulthood. When the culture of respect, sharing, and love is cultivated regularly in each lesson and playtime, life values will spread naturally, gently, and sustainably.
A school is not only a place to impart knowledge, but also a space to connect people. In that space, VHHĐ plays the role of “glue” connecting relationships: between teachers and students, between students, between schools and parents.
Morning greetings, civilized behavior, cooperative spirit in learning or sharing in difficult times are all vivid manifestations of VHHĐ. These connections, though small, create a humane environment, helping each individual feel respected and valued.
In order to build a healthy school environment, the Tien Giang Education sector has actively implemented many large-scale programs and projects such as: Program "Strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arousing the desire to contribute" for the period 2021 - 2030; Project "Building a culture of behavior in schools" until 2025; strengthening education in cyberspace...
At the same time, schools also promote dialogue between students and schools, school psychological counseling, life skills education, law dissemination, and close coordination with the police and local authorities to promptly grasp and handle ideological, ethical, and deviant behavioral issues among students.
Activities such as: "A good news every day, a beautiful story every week", "Building beautiful friendships - Say no to school violence", "Youth living beautifully", "Reading culture festival"... have contributed to spreading positive life values, helping VHHĐ gradually become a sustainable foundation of comprehensive education.
According to the analysis of Mr. Nguyen Phuc Vien, Principal of Cho Gao High School (Cho Gao district), a teacher is not only a person who imparts knowledge, but also a person who guides and inspires humanistic values in students.

To do that, teachers also need to be trained and regularly fostered in behavioral skills, professional ethics and school psychology. VHHĐ will not be sustainable without the exemplary and sincere companionship of the team of teachers.
PROMOTING SOLUTIONS
In recent times, the Education Department of Tien Giang province has made many efforts to build a civilized and friendly school environment. However, recently, in some localities in Tien Giang province, there have been continuous cases of students fighting and filming and posting clips online.
A school culture cannot be formed naturally without a “standard system”, which means clear, consistent and enforceable rules of conduct. Every member of the school, from students to teachers, needs to reflect on their behavior through that “standard system” to know how to self-regulate and improve themselves every day. When everyone is aware and acts together for a healthy and humane learning environment, VHHĐ will no longer be an empty slogan, but will truly become a living value that spreads in every smallest action. |
Under the glitz of social networks and video games, a segment of students are gradually living away from reality, withdrawing into the virtual world , being indifferent to studying, lacking life skills, easily agitated and resolving conflicts with violence.
This situation poses an urgent need to re-evaluate the work of VHHĐ education, not just stopping at slogans and movements, but also needing to delve into the behavior and attitude of each individual, from teachers to students.
Implementing Decision 1895 dated November 11, 2021 of the Prime Minister on approving the Program "Strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arousing aspirations for dedication for youth, teenagers and children in the period of 2021 - 2030", the Department of Education and Training has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan 04 to concretize this program in the province.
Accordingly, all schools from kindergarten to high school have developed propaganda plans and organized life skills education forums suitable for the psychological characteristics of students. Many practical movements have been widely deployed such as: "Speaking good words - Doing good deeds", "Example of good people, good deeds", "Bright example of youth"... creating a positive learning environment, contributing to fostering personality and arousing the spirit of living beautifully and responsibly in students.
According to the Department of Education and Training, in addition to strategic programs, strengthening and improving the quality of school psychological counseling should be considered a key and long-term solution. Each school needs to build a team of counselors with solid professional capacity, listening skills and accompanying students in school psychological issues.
In particular, promoting the self-management role of students in detecting, preventing and promptly reflecting deviant behaviors in schools not only helps to form a sense of responsibility towards the community, but also contributes to building a safe and humane learning environment. Close coordination between schools, families and local authorities is also a key factor in monitoring and early detection of emerging risks, thereby having timely and effective solutions.
On the other hand, to spread VHHĐ widely, it is necessary to put students at the center of the educational process through dialogue and experience. Organizing regular meetings and exchanges between students and teachers and school leaders is an opportunity to listen to their thoughts and aspirations; at the same time, promptly remove psychological obstacles and guide appropriate behavior.
At the same time, extracurricular activities should be organized in a diverse and creative manner, linked to practical situations so that students can practice life skills, behavioral skills and teamwork skills. The recognition of good examples in studying and training and strict handling of violations should also be carried out publicly and transparently, creating a clear "standard system" of behavior for each student to reflect on and adjust themselves.
