Following the direction of the superiors, the Party Committee of Ba Ria province deployed a plan to closely coordinate with the forces, ensuring absolute secrecy, providing timely logistics for the campaign, and at the same time, urgently establishing frontline civilian labor units to serve the campaign.

The Binh Gia Campaign ended in victory, breaking up each strategic hamlet, contributing to accelerating the bankruptcy of the US's "Special War" strategy, opening up important conditions for the army and people of the South to defeat the "Local War" and "Vietnamization of the war" strategies, leading to the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975 with the historic victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
“To achieve such great results as today, we remember with respect, honor, and infinite gratitude the great President Ho Chi Minh, our predecessors, and revolutionary veterans. We will forever remember the heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, generations of cadres, soldiers, frontline laborers, and all compatriots who sacrificed themselves for the independence and unification of Vietnam in general and created the glorious and heroic victory of Binh Gia in particular,” emphasized Secretary of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh.

The ceremony featured a special art program “60 years of the heroic victory of Binh Gia” consisting of 3 chapters: The call of the country; The heroic victory; Pride of the heroic homeland with many special performances.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his respectful greetings, sincere greetings and best wishes to the heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, veteran revolutionaries, leaders and former leaders of the Central and local governments, and compatriots and comrades across the country in general and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in particular.
The Prime Minister stated that during the resistance war against the US, for national independence and unification, Ba Ria-Vung Tau was an important base, a gateway for sea supply to the Southeast region with "No-numbered trains", a strategic corridor connecting the D war zone with the extreme South Central region, creating a foothold for the armed forces, and a springboard to attack the enemy's lair.
At the same time, this is also the vital belt surrounding Saigon, the enemy's key defense point; the area of fierce dispute between us and the enemy. Many historical sites in Ba Ria-Vung Tau record the indomitable will, patriotism, and noble sacrifice of previous generations that we are forever infinitely grateful for, cherish, and have the responsibility to preserve and promote in the future.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Binh Gia Victory had great strategic significance, affirming the development of all aspects of the southern revolution; fundamentally defeating the US's "Special War" strategy and creating important premises for subsequent victories, as General Hoang Van Thai commented: The Binh Gia Victory, although "small in scale, had strategic significance, opening a new period of revolution in the south, combining offensive with uprising, guerrilla warfare with political warfare, defeating the US-puppet war strategy". And after the Binh Gia Victory, the US Department of Defense itself had to admit: "Washington's disappointment with the military situation increased when the Saigon army suffered a visible defeat in the fierce battle at Binh Gia".
The Binh Gia victory left many profound lessons, which are of great significance to the cause of fighting for national independence and unification in the past and the cause of building, defending the Fatherland and developing the country today. It is the creativity in building the revolutionary line and in organizing, directing the campaign and building the armed forces. It is the promotion of the combined strength of patriotism, the solidarity of the army and people and the great solidarity of the entire nation. It is the bravery, intelligence, strength, pride, self-respect, the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, the determination not to retreat in the face of difficulties and the determination to fight and win of our nation.

The study and creative and effective application of valuable lessons from the Binh Gia Victory have many important meanings and values for the revolutionary cause of our Party and people. In particular, we need to further promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, extraordinary creativity, the spirit of self-reliance, determination, daring to think, daring to do, and the Vietnamese mettle and intelligence to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, comprehensively promote the renovation process, build and firmly defend the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam in the new era - the era of striving to develop richly and prosperously of the nation under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam. The Prime Minister stated that, being proud of and promoting the heroic tradition in the fight against foreign invaders, with the spirit of the people of the "hard-working but heroic Eastern region", the Party Committee, government and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau have promoted advantages, aroused potential, created breakthroughs, comprehensive development in all aspects.
After more than 30 years of construction and development (since its establishment in 1991), from a locality with poor infrastructure, small economic scale; many cultural and social deprivations; difficult people's lives, Ba Ria-Vung Tau has affirmed its leading position in socio-economic development, is the economic locomotive in the Southeast region; and increasingly plays an important role and stature in the development of the region and the country.
And the homeland of Binh Gia, where the campaign began in the past, a land that was once bloody and heroic, now has the appearance of a peaceful, prosperous countryside; the infrastructure is synchronous, modern, and clean; the material and spiritual life of the people, especially families with meritorious services, and ethnic minorities has been improved... Famous places that were once the scene of war are witnessing strong economic and service development; in which historical revolutionary values are focused on preserving and promoting, becoming a driving force for development.
We believe that the Party, government, army and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau will continue to promote the heroic revolutionary historical tradition and the achievements that have been made to break through, develop strongly, and build Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to develop comprehensively, becoming one of the important development driving forces, one of the bright spots in socio-economics in the Southeast region and the whole country.
The Prime Minister affirmed that history is the root, the foundation, the strength of the present and the future of our country and our people. The 60th anniversary of the Binh Gia Victory is an opportunity for us to review the revolutionary historical tradition; to pay tribute to the great contributions, dedication and boundless sacrifices of our army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country, gain national independence and unify the country; to propagate and educate patriotism, pride, self-respect, bravery, intelligence, strength and determination to fight and win of the Vietnamese people.
The more excited and proud we are of the nation's glorious historical tradition and the great contributions of previous generations, the more we are aware of our mission and responsibility and must make every effort in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, continuing to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and unanimity, striving to compete, make efforts, and strive to successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and building an increasingly clean and strong Party and political system, leading the country firmly on the path of innovation, integration, and development.
Promoting the valuable lessons and spirit of the Binh Gia Victory and the heroic victories and feats of arms of the nation, we need to strongly promote the mettle, intelligence, will, spirit and strength of the great solidarity bloc of the entire Vietnamese people to unblock, mobilize and effectively use all resources; accelerate the industrialization and modernization of the country; prioritize promoting growth associated with maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances of the economy; promote strategic breakthroughs in institutions, human resources, and infrastructure; clearly identify institutional improvement as the "breakthrough of breakthroughs"; focus on removing difficulties, promoting production and business; Strive to achieve GDP growth of about 8% in 2025 and reach double digits in the next period to successfully implement the strategic goals according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress: Strive to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030 (the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding); by 2045 (the 100th anniversary of the country's founding) to become a developed country with high income.
In the coming time, the world situation is forecast to continue to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner, posing heavy but also glorious requirements and tasks for our entire Party, people and army in the cause of building, developing and defending the country. Let us further promote the precious tradition, the spirit of patriotism, solidarity, unity, and unanimity, arouse and strongly promote the spirit of determination to fight and win, especially the excitement and pride in the glorious historical tradition of the nation and previous generations, and strengthen the belief and clearly see the responsibility to the country of today's and future generations; strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges; and strive with the highest determination to continue to create new miracles.
The 60th anniversary of the heroic Binh Gia Victory with valuable lessons on the art of people's war, the people's heart position, and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc will create more motivation and strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in particular and the whole country in general in the next stage of development. Thereby, we will further appreciate the value of peace and be determined to realize the aspiration to develop a prosperous and prosperous country, where the people have a prosperous and happy life in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, bringing the country firmly into a new era, an era of striving to develop richly and prosperously for the nation, as General Secretary To Lam affirmed.
