The price of SJC gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is traded by the enterprise at 85 million VND/tael for buying (up 1 million VND/tael) - 86.7 million VND/tael for selling (up 500,000 VND/tael). The price of plain round gold rings is traded by the enterprise at 85.23 million VND/tael for buying (up 400,000 VND/tael) - 86.18 million VND/tael for selling (up 400,000 VND/tael).

DOJI Jewelry Group raised the price of plain rings to VND85.1 - 86.1 million. The price of gold rings at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) also increased to VND85 - 86 million.

In 2024, the price of gold skyrocketed to an all-time high and recorded unprecedented volatility. At its peak, it reached nearly $2,800/ounce, but after just 1 week, it plummeted to $2,550/ounce and is showing signs of recovery.

Additionally, geopolitical tensions, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Middle East conflicts and rising trade disputes under President Trump, will provide some support for gold as a safe haven. However, these factors are not strong enough to boost gold prices in 2025.

While many analysts expect inflation to decline in 2025, which would be good for gold investors, trade-related risks could fuel localized inflationary pressures. The overall outlook suggests that gold’s appeal as an inflation hedge will slow.

BMI - a unit of Fitch Solutions forecasts that gold prices in 2025 will fluctuate in the range of 2,200 to 2,600 USD/ounce until the end of the first quarter. Equivalent to domestic gold prices (including taxes and fees) in the range of 68.3 to 80.7 million VND/tael.
