The song "Entering Summer" was born in the late 1980s. Musician Le Huu Ha said that he wrote the song "Entering Summer" after a tour in Hai Phong right when the royal poinciana flowers were in full bloom. The musician shared, "If you have the opportunity to go to Hai Phong in the summer, you will feel the beauty of life in the summer. The sky is blue, the royal poinciana flowers are red, and I just wander and think: Life can have many things that make us unhappy, but life also has things to be happy about, so why do we have to be gloomy and complain?" and the song opens with the lyrics:
“The sky rises gently, my soul seems like a bird's shadow,
Spread soft wings quietly looking for a peaceful place,
And the green river lies still as if it doesn't want to flow,
Drying moss-colored clothes to soothe a nap and rest…”
Feelings about the song “Entering Summer”, many listeners participated in the section “You love music and comment on music” of the YCTG Music program. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong in An Do, Bac Son, An Thi, Hung Yen opened her feelings: “Summer, exam season, farewell season. Yes, I have felt the meaning of the last summer of the 20th century. Summer with the hot sun, the summer of clusters of bright red phoenix flowers, the season of students preparing for exams… But when listening to “Entering Summer” by musician Le Huu Ha, you will forget all the hot sun, forget all the fatigue… there will only be the summer of joy, of confidence in life. Let’s listen:
“The sky rises gently, my soul seems like a bird's shadow,
Spread your soft wings quietly to find a peaceful place"
The image of birds flying in the summer sky is like the author's dream or our dream of reaching far horizons, a peaceful life without noise and bustle. The lyrics in the song are used very well and smoothly by the author:
"The rustling of the cool breeze sighs through the trees,
Suddenly feeling indifferent, summer passes by my fingertips”…
At the end of her review, Thu Huong wrote: “A song that lasts a long time is because the author composes well, understands life and writes with his or her feelings… and if the singer also sings with all his or her heart, the song will never be forgotten.”
Sharing the same sentiment for the song “Entering Summer”, Hoang Hong Nhung in Lang hamlet, Van Khuc commune, Song Thao, Phu Tho wrote: “Author Le Huu Ha is truly poetic and romantic with the song: Entering Summer. At the beginning of the song, he shows us a beautiful natural scene of a wonderful summer that the musician has selected through two images: the bird and the river. The bird is as soft as the author’s soul. Perhaps he wants to make the bird blend into this beautiful summer scene. As for the river that rarely “lies still as if it doesn’t want to flow”, perhaps the river also wants to stop to admire the summer scene. Returning to the cool breeze of summer, to the rustling wind like musical notes passing through the gaps between the leaves and bushes. Through Le Huu Ha’s perspective, “Entering Summer” is as vibrant as the scenes that appear before the listener’s eyes. That is the image of beautiful, fresh nature. And up high, the clouds seem to be looking for friends to admire the summer scene together. down… and then hurriedly told stories of the world…
Continuing that inspiration, the author takes us on a journey of adventure to see human lives. Human lives that have gone through so much bitterness “still smile” and disregard hardship because they will overcome it with their own strength and intelligence, so their smiles are refreshing, they believe the future will be brighter, more brilliant. That joy is mixed with summer.
"…Light up your soul
Burning in everyone's heart
Love for life,
Summer, love is blooming!
My friend please throw away all sadness,
Erase all the long nights,
Walk leisurely in life…. my dear…”
Through the chorus, the author gives us a flame that lights up brightly in every soul of Vietnamese people and humanity. A flame about human life, about friendship, family and society, always joyfully connecting us together.
“Love for life,
Summer, love is so bright…!”
With Hoang Hong Nhung, the beautiful chorus advises us to forget the sadness to welcome a better life so that our souls are always bright with that ideal summer. Entering the summer, let's listen to "Entering the summer" with musician Le Huu Ha.
