Focus on completing documents and reporting to the Government on "Vietnam Cultural Day"

According to information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry is urgently completing documents and reporting to the Government on the proposal to choose November 24 as "Vietnam Culture Day", expected to be submitted before November 5.

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 581/TB-VPCP dated October 27, 2025, announcing the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh at the meeting on the proposal to choose "Vietnam Cultural Day".

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to continue reviewing, researching and completing the dossier to be submitted to the Government, including fully and reasonably absorbing comments at the meeting on the proposal to choose November 24 every year as "Vietnam Culture Day"; collect and synthesize written comments from relevant ministries, agencies and organizations.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the dossier on "Vietnam Cultural Day".

Clarify the political, legal and practical basis for the proposal; specify the application and use of legal regulations to correctly determine the authority, dossier components, order and procedures.

Carefully evaluate the correlation with anniversaries, traditional days, cultural and other industry and sectoral days, as well as prescribed holidays.

Specifically assess the impact on many aspects, especially on the orientation to become a national holiday.

Relevant departments, ministries, branches, agencies and organizations have proactively and actively coordinated closely with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the process of reviewing, researching and completing the proposal documents.

Previously, on October 17, at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting on the proposal to choose November 24 every year as "Vietnam Culture Day".

Attending the meeting were leaders of ministries and agencies: Culture, Sports and Tourism; Foreign Affairs; Government Office; Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and representatives of ministries and branches: National Defense, Public Security, Justice, Home Affairs, Education and Training, Finance.
