Attracting the whole society to participate in the patriotic emulation movement under the flag of the Front.

On October 28, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front solemnly organized the Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025-2030 period. Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, attended the Congress.

Overview of the Congress.

Attending the Congress were Party Central Committee members, alternate Party Central Committee members who are Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front ; representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and mass organizations; 200 official delegates, representing nearly 600 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Special milestone after the reorganization of socio- political organizations

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, stated: The Congress is of great significance, being held right after implementing the policy of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat on restructuring the apparatus; a special milestone after merging and restructuring socio-political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Congress is an opportunity to evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement in the 2020-2025 period; to honor and commend typical advanced models; to draw lessons, point out limitations and shortcomings, and determine the direction and tasks of emulation and reward work of the Committee for the 2025-2030 period.

Over the past 5 years, under the leadership of the Party and the direct direction of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the emulation and reward work of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has had many new developments.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha delivered the opening speech at the Congress.

Currently, the Agency has 1,131 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers. Among them, there are 29 leaders of the Front and socio-political organizations at the Central level. With a creative spirit, the Agency's staff has proposed many initiatives, experiences and effective methods, building typical models of activities in mass mobilization work. The emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Front have received positive responses from the people, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and social security.

In the period of 2020-2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has consulted, reviewed, approved and proposed the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government and the President to award 103 high-ranking medals of various types, 235 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, 52 Emulation Flags to 155 outstanding collectives and individuals; awarded more than 19,600 "For the cause of Great National Unity" Medals, 163 Emulation Flags, more than 11,000 Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to nearly 54,000 outstanding collectives and individuals in the work of the Front, emulation movements and many contributions to the community.

"Competition is patriotism, patriotism requires competition"

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Do Van Chien reiterated President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation. And those who emulate are the most patriotic", thereby affirming: Over the past 5 years, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has advised, proposed and proactively organized and launched extensive patriotic emulation movements, achieving many encouraging results.

In particular, the leading movement is the movement of the whole country uniting, joining hands and competing to prevent, fight and defeat the Covid-19 pandemic, which has strongly aroused the strength of the great national solidarity bloc with the highlight being the program "Millions of great solidarity gifts to support the people of the South to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic" and the Memorial Ceremony for the deceased compatriots and officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the pandemic.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have joined hands to remove more than 5,000 dilapidated houses for the poor in Dien Bien province and the Northwest region on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, and have so far completed hundreds of thousands of houses from socialized sources...

Emphasizing that our country is entering an era of prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy development as well as the instructions of General Secretary To Lam on innovation of organizational models associated with innovation of thinking and working methods, comrade Do Van Chien noted: patriotic emulation work needs real innovation, must attract the whole society to participate under the flag of the Front, thereby arousing the spirit of dedication and responsibility in each citizen.

Specifically, it is necessary to link emulation work with the political tasks of agencies and units and go hand in hand with commendation and rewards; thoroughly grasp Directive No. 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and rewards in the new situation; regularly innovate and improve the level of capacity to perform public duties; seriously implement the principle of setting an example for leaders.

Patriotic emulation work needs substantial innovation and must attract the whole society to participate under the flag of the Front, thereby arousing the spirit of dedication and responsibility in each citizen.

Comrade Do Van Chien awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to outstanding and exemplary individuals.

At the Congress, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Do Van Chien awarded the First Class Labor Medal to three individuals; the Second Class Labor Medal to two individuals; the Third Class Labor Medal to two individuals; and the Prime Minister's Certificates of Merit to five individuals with outstanding achievements in deploying and implementing the patriotic emulation movement in the 2020-2025 period.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also awarded Certificates of Merit to many individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years.

On the same morning, the delegation of the Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the period 2025-2030 reported achievements, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; and offered incense and flowers at the Bac Son Monument for Heroic Martyrs.
