On the La Son – Tuy Loan Expressway, the section bordering Hue and Da Nang , many serious landslides appeared, posing a potential safety risk. On the morning of October 27, the Hoa Hiep Cua O Traffic Police Station coordinated with the Hue City Traffic Police force to set up checkpoints at both ends of the route, temporarily stopping traffic, placing warning signs and guiding vehicles to move in other safe directions.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Ngoc Tai, Head of Hoa Hiep Cua O Traffic Police Station, said: "We maintain 24/7 duty at key points, coordinate with other forces to promptly block and divert traffic, and absolutely do not allow traffic incidents to occur during floods."

Traffic police of Da Nang City Police assisted people in moving to avoid floods and were on duty at key points.
At the same time, in Phuoc Hiep commune, rising river water caused the National Highway 14E to continue to erode, many houses appeared cracked, threatening to be buried. In an emergency, Phuoc Hiep commune police coordinated with functional forces to mobilize and urgently evacuate 38 households with 183 people, including a pregnant woman in labor, to a safe place at Hiep Duc Medical Center.
Police also stretched ropes, erected barriers, and placed warning signs at landslide sites to prevent risks.

Phuoc Nang Commune Police provided essential supplies to drivers trapped by landslides.
On Lo Xo Pass ( Ho Chi Minh Road), heavy rain caused rocks and soil to flow onto the road, causing hundreds of vehicles to be stuck. Traffic police and militia of Phuoc Nang commune promptly arrived, mobilized machinery to temporarily clear the road, and distributed drinking water, instant noodles, and bread to drivers and people stuck.
Not only in the mountainous areas, but also in the downstream and midland areas such as Hoi An, Dai Loc, Thuong Duc, Vu Gia, floodwaters rose rapidly, many roads were cut off. The Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police has activated all its forces, 100% of its troops on duty, increased officers and soldiers to key areas, assisted people in moving, and coordinated with local authorities to block off, put up warning signs, and regulate traffic in deeply flooded areas.

In particular, on National Highway 1, which is often flooded and has potential risks of accidents, traffic police officers were present to direct traffic, guide and assist people through flooded areas safely, and warn of areas with deep water and strong currents.
On the evening of October 27, the Traffic Police Department temporarily blocked National Highway 1, redirecting vehicles to the expressway and other safe routes. By the morning of October 28, many routes such as National Highway 40B, National Highway 14E, and Ho Chi Minh Road were still flooded and had serious landslides. In this situation, the Traffic Police Department of the City Police Department mobilized all its forces, set up task forces on duty at the scene, diverted traffic, guided people to travel safely, and coordinated with road management units to overcome landslides.

On the morning of October 28, the Youth Union of Da Nang City Police summoned members of the Youth Shock Team, distributed military equipment and received hundreds of gifts including food, milk, drinks, instant noodles, and dry rations contributed by officers, soldiers, and benefactors. Right at the headquarters, the union members and youths were busy sorting, packaging, and getting ready to go on the relief mission that same afternoon.
Major Bui Anh Duc, Head of the City Police Youth Union, said that in just a few hours of campaigning, the spirit of sharing had spread strongly: "We worked through lunch to deliver necessities to people as quickly as possible."
