Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations; Mr. Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; and Mr. Dao Ngoc Chuyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Bar Association .
Also attending were representatives from the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, along with more than 100 party members affiliated with the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Party Branch of the Vietnam Bar Federation.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Dao Ngoc Chuyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Bar Association, stated that the conference was organized to promote democracy, intellect, and responsibility among legal professionals and lawyers in perfecting the Party's major orientations.
"The 14th National Congress of the Party is a momentous political event for the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army, with special significance in the process of national development."
The draft documents submitted to the Congress are the culmination of the Party's wisdom, courage, and strategic vision, reflecting the Vietnamese nation's aspiration for " peace , independence, democracy, prosperity, civilization, and happiness," the Vice President of the Vietnam Bar Association emphasized.
At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing insightful, objective, scientific, and practically-founded opinions on specific issues: the draft political report of the 13th Central Committee of the Party at the 14th National Congress of the Party; the draft action program of the Central Committee of the Party to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the draft report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform process in Vietnam over the past 40 years; and the draft report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025) and proposals and directions for supplementing and amending the Party Charter.
Representatives of the Vietnam Bar Association stated that, for Vietnamese legal professionals and lawyers, this is not only a political responsibility but also an opportunity to demonstrate their competence, intellect, and practical experience in the legal field, contributing insightful opinions to the building of a socialist rule of law state, judicial reform, and the improvement of the legal system.
Suggesting four key issues
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and professional competence of the team of legal experts and lawyers.
"We look forward to receiving high-quality, practical feedback and suggestions from legal experts and lawyers. The conference, with the participation of legal experts, is expected to make in-depth contributions that reflect the unique characteristics of the legal field," Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc suggested four key areas of focus for feedback.
Firstly, provide feedback on the overall, essential, and overarching aspects of the documents, from their layout and structure to their core content.
Secondly, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the position and role of lawyers and legal professionals, not only in their professional field but also as members of the Fatherland Front and other mass organizations.
Third, focus on building and perfecting institutions within the socialist rule of law state.
Fourth, there should be in-depth discussions on promoting democracy and protecting human rights and civil rights – a core content of a rule of law state.
With a spirit of responsibility, democracy, science, and constructiveness, the Conference to gather feedback on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party is expected to achieve many practical results, making important contributions to the completion of the documents and creating high consensus in society ahead of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
