2025 marks a new era in the world of wedding dress fashion , characterized by a blend of tradition and innovation, along with a commitment to sustainability. Wedding dress designers are embracing many trends that reflect the values and desires of modern brides.
Silk wedding dresses: choosing the right wedding dress

Silk, a material symbolizing femininity, is personified by its lightness, fragility, timelessness, and durability.
How many variations can there be of a perfect silk wedding dress? According to designer Le Bao (Été Project brand), silk wedding dresses come in 5-8 variations, from muslin silk, satin silk, taffeta silk, organza silk, brocade silk... each variation brings its own personality and elegance, so it's easy to understand why silk wedding dresses are loved and "revered" by many women, even when choosing formal attire.

The designs, crafted from soft and luxurious silk fabrics and featuring delicate, sophisticated details, seem to have brought a breath of fresh air to bridal wear.

Silk wedding dresses were first introduced and showcased by designer Le Bao in a show themed " Our Wedding Day" at the end of October.
There are countless cuts and lines for a wedding dress, but one of the fundamental elements is the beauty and quality of the fabric, which will make your dress stand out. Silk is perhaps the most eclectic, sophisticated, and minimalist fabric.

Muslin silk wedding dresses, this silk variant is characterized by its lightness and sheer transparency precisely because it has very thin and slightly twisted threads.

Muslin fabric, which can be made from wool, silk, or cotton, is named after the city of Mosul in Iraq, where it was first discovered by Europeans.
Did you know that for centuries, this was the exquisite fabric for aristocratic attire? It was ideal for imperial-style wedding dresses, soft, lightweight, and with cuts reminiscent of Greek and Roman goddesses.

Silk satin wedding dresses, also known as satin in fabric jargon, are highly sought after by many future brides for their elegant and smooth appearance.
Satin is a fabric made from 100% satin-woven silk, with a crepe silk weave. Brilliant, soft, smooth, and supple, it's perfect for very elegant silk wedding dresses, and satin is also ideal for lingerie or formal wear, both on the shiny side and on the back, where it has a slightly orange peel-like appearance.

Taffeta wedding dresses get their name from the Persian term “tafheh” or “thin silk fabric”.

Precious and with a semi-glossy appearance, taffeta fabric is characterized by its firm and crisp texture, to the point that it is recognizable by the typical rustling sound it makes when the wearer moves.
Taffeta silk is used in haute couture to produce exquisite wedding dresses because it is considered luxurious, precious, and has a unique reflective quality due to its light-gathering properties.
Designer Le Bao further shared that in recent years, the trend of luxurious and minimalist silk wedding dresses has become increasingly popular worldwide due to its timeless fashion symbolism. Following this global trend, Vietnamese brides have been showing more interest in silk wedding attire, with the percentage of those choosing to design and have silk wedding dresses custom-made consistently higher than other types of wedding dresses.
