When does EURO 2024 start?

The biggest football tournament in Europe (EURO 2024) will officially open on June 14 in Germany. This is the most anticipated event of the year in the world football village, with the participation of top teams and stars, creating dramatic matches.

The opening ceremony of EURO 2024 will take place at Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany), one of the most modern and largest stadiums in Europe with a capacity of 66,026 people for this year's tournament.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7pm on June 14th local time - around 0am on June 15th Vietnam time, with many exciting activities to kick off the most exciting tournament of the year in world football. The opening ceremony takes place right before the opening match at 2am on June 15th (Vietnam time) between host team Germany and Scotland.

To add more heat, 1 day before the opening ceremony, in the host city Stuttgart, a concert called Stuttgart EURO 2024 festival will be held. Here, national artists will perform top-notch music .

This year's tournament has 24 teams: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany (host country), Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine and Georgia.

EURO 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024, in 10 cities in Germany with 24 participating teams. The teams are divided into 6 groups to select 12 teams, first and second in each group and 4 third-placed teams with the best records to qualify for the knockout round. This is the format that has been applied since EURO 2016.
