The sexy look of the African-American beauty crowned Miss USA 2024

After competing in swimsuit, evening gown, and interview, Alma Cooper beat out 50 other contestants to win the Miss USA 2024 crown in the finale, which took place on August 4 (US time).

Alma Cooper was crowned Miss USA 2023 - Savannah Gankiewicz - with the new title, Alma has the opportunity to represent the US at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant taking place in Mexico later this year.

Alma Cooper is a scholar and US Army officer. The 22-year-old beauty has a bachelor's degree from Stanford University (USA), majoring in Data Science. She graduated with honors from the US Military Academy with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Her father is also a military officer.

In the behavioral round, the new Miss America impressed with her sharing: "If there is anything that life and my parents have taught me, it is that circumstances never determine your destiny. You can achieve success through striving to conquer the peaks."

The 2024 Miss America pageant comes after a controversial season. This year's competition had 51 contestants.

American media commented that the appeal of the Miss USA 2024 pageant is not great after the controversy of the reigning Miss USA and Miss Teen USA giving up their titles. It is known that beauty Noelia Voigt gave up the Miss USA 2023 crown before the final of the Miss USA 2024 pageant took place.

This year, the Miss America 2024 pageant has some changes, notably accepting contestants over the age of 28 and welcoming transgender contestants. Beauty Bailey Anne Kennedy has become the first transgender representative to compete in the Miss America pageant.

The Miss America 2024 pageant features older contestants such as 41-year-old Kristina Johnson (representing Arizona) and contestants from Montana, North Dakota, Maryland and Indiana who are all over 30 years old.

The final round of the Miss USA 2024 pageant kicked off with the announcement of the top 20 finalists, determined by the judges’ scores from the semi-final night. After the swimsuit competition, the judges selected the top 10 finalists to compete in the swimsuit competition.
