If Binh Duong has Suoi Don, Phu Quoc has Suoi Tranh, Suoi Da Ban, Dong Nai has Suoi Mo... then Suoi Tien in Phan Thiet is also known as one of the most beautiful streams in the country.
Located about 16 km from Phan Thiet City, Suoi Tien lies across Huynh Thuc Khang Street - the main road leading to the famous tourist area Ham Tien - Mui Ne. There are tourists who have visited here many times, but each time they have a new feeling because they can immerse themselves in the fresh nature and walk in the cool water. Known as the only stream in Vietnam, because Suoi Tien is just a small stream flowing behind the red and yellow sand dunes, the springs in the sand dunes flow all year round to create a gentle stream, slowly flowing towards the sea, winding around the characteristic colorful sand and clay stalactites, but visitors cannot bathe like in streams in other provinces and cities.
Suoi Tien is more than 2 km long, originating from Dua village, Thien Nghiep commune, flowing through Ham Tien ward and then pouring into the sea. When coming here, visitors cannot help but be surprised by the bright orange-red stream water, on one side are undulating sand stalactites, on the other side are rows of coconut trees, lush green wild pineapple bushes, creating a truly poetic scene. Therefore, people often compare Suoi Tien to a sweet, extremely impressive jade. In Suoi Tien, the stream water flows very gently, the water level is only above the ankle, the deepest place is not above the knee. Therefore, when coming here, visitors often wade barefoot to experience the extremely interesting cool feeling. Because of the canopy of trees, visitors do not feel the sun, tired when having to walk quite far. In particular, children when coming here are very excited, just following the clear stream to the upstream, forgetting the hot summer sun. This experience suddenly reminds older tourists of their carefree childhood with the days of bathing in the rain and playing in the water. Gia Phat (10 years old) from Ho Chi Minh City is very enthusiastic about exploring nature, fascinated by the sand stalactites along the road with many strange shapes and constantly asking questions to his parents. Gia Phat said: "This is the first time I have come here, the scenery is so beautiful, the stream is cool, I can walk forever without getting tired. When I come back, I will introduce Suoi Tien to my classmates."
It is summer, so the number of visitors to this tourist area is quite large, especially on weekends, including both domestic and foreign visitors. Following the trail, visitors keep going upstream. Besides the main stream, there are also secondary streams flowing into Suoi Tien, helping Suoi Tien never dry up. At the upstream of Suoi Tien, visitors will encounter a small waterfall, where they can freely bathe in the cool water.
However, according to many tourists, the entertainment services in Suoi Tien area are still rudimentary, not enough to make tourists spend money to experience the games, as well as buy typical products of Binh Thuan. According to the introduction of the shop owners before entering Suoi Tien area, tourists can participate in ostrich riding, take pictures with pythons when entering the middle of the stream. But when tourists stop by, the above services have stopped operating. Therefore, in addition to walking in the stream, sightseeing, a few cafes along the way, the functional sector and locality need to exploit some more suitable entertainment services or arrange souvenir shops, typical products of the province, so that the trip to explore Suoi Tien is not boring and tasteless.
Hopefully, in the next visit to Suoi Tien, tourists who have visited here many times will see the difference, have more entertainment services as well as enjoy the rustic and colorful beauty of the red stream and hundreds of protruding sandstones.
At the end of the road, visitors will encounter a small waterfall, where they can enjoy bathing in the cool water. When coming to Phan Thiet, you must definitely visit Suoi Tien!
