Launching the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026

The Ministry of Science and Technology has just officially launched and called on Vietnamese businesses, agencies and organizations to apply for the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026. Participating in the Awards is an opportunity to affirm the value and expand the market for digital products Made in Vietnam.

The ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) is a prestigious regional award, held annually under the auspices and awards of the ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting.

The ADA Awards aim to seek and honor digital technology initiatives, products and solutions with practical applications; encourage creativity in technology development; forecast trends and potential for digital technology development; and recognize the role of digital technology in economic development and improving the quality of life for people in ASEAN countries.

Following the success of previous Awards, ASEAN countries have agreed on a plan to continue organizing the ADA Awards this year with the Final Round and Award Ceremony to be held directly in Vietnam in January 2026.

Accordingly, the ADA 2026 Awards have 6 categories, including: Public Sector Product Award; Private Sector Product Award; Digital Inclusivity Category; Digital Content Category; Digital Start-up Category and Digital Innovation Category.

The award consists of 3 rounds: National Selection round, Regional Preliminary round (online) and Final round (live).

Agencies and businesses must submit their application documents before September 15, including a product description in the form and a video introduction of up to 3 minutes in English (MP4 format). The application documents must be sent to the Standing Committee of the ASEAN Digital Awards Vietnam Organizing Committee at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology .

Up to three nominated products from each category will participate in the Regional Preliminary Round, which will take place online from October 10 to 31. The list of finalists is expected to be announced on November 15.

The Final Round and Award Gala will take place within the framework of the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN) hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam in Vietnam in January 2026. The jury from 10 ASEAN countries will directly judge, calculate points and honor according to the gold, silver and bronze rankings.

Vietnam is one of the countries that has achieved many achievements and awards in the ADA Awards, thereby contributing to significantly enhancing the position of the information and communication technology industry, promoting the products and services of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises and research facilities.

2025: VTI Solutions' MES-X manufacturing execution system wins silver in the private sector category.

2024: DrAid CT Liver Cancer D&T product of VinBrain Company won the gold prize in the digital innovation category; ICANKid-Learning Play product of Galaxy Education JSC won the gold prize in the digital content category; Vio Edu Online Education System product of FPT Corporation won the silver prize in the digital content category; Digital Agricultural Platform product of Mobifone Corporation won the silver prize in the digital application popularization category.

Previously, products of VNPT, Viettel, Duy Tan University, BIDV... were also honored.
