Launching the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026

The Ministry of Science and Technology has just officially launched and called on Vietnamese businesses, agencies and organizations to apply for the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026. Participating in the Awards is an opportunity to affirm the value and expand the market for digital products Made in Vietnam.

The ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) is a prestigious regional award, held annually under the auspices and awards of the ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting.

The ADA Awards aim to identify and honor digital technology initiatives, products, and solutions with practical applications; encourage technological innovation and development; predict trends and potential for digital technology development; and recognize the role of digital technology in economic development and improving the quality of life for people in ASEAN countries.

Following the success of previous editions of the Awards, ASEAN countries have agreed on a plan to continue organizing the ADA Awards this year, with the Final Round and Award Ceremony to be held in person in Vietnam in January 2026.

Accordingly, the ADA Awards 2026 have six categories, including: Public Sector Category; Private Sector Category; Digital Inclusivity Category; Digital Content Category; Digital Start-up Category; and Digital Innovation Category.

The competition consists of three rounds: the National Selection Round, the Regional Preliminary Round (online), and the Final Round (in person).

Organizations and businesses must submit their applications before September 15th, including a product description following the provided template and a video introduction (maximum 3 minutes) in English (MP4 format). Applications should be sent to the Standing Committee of the ASEAN Digital Awards Vietnam at the Ministry of Science and Technology headquarters.

A maximum of 3 nominated products per category will participate in the regional preliminary round, which will take place online from October 10th to 31st. The finalists are expected to be announced on November 15th.

The Final Round and Awards Gala will take place within the framework of the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN), hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam in Vietnam in January 2026. A judging panel from 10 ASEAN countries will directly evaluate, score, and honor entries based on gold, silver, and bronze rankings.

Vietnam is one of the countries that has achieved many accomplishments and awards in the ADA Awards, thereby significantly contributing to enhancing the position of the information and communication technology industry and promoting the products and services of Vietnamese businesses and digital technology research institutions.

Some Vietnamese products that have recently won awards:

2025: VTI Solutions' MES-X manufacturing execution system wins silver award in the private sector category.

In 2024: VinBrain's DrAid CT Liver Cancer D&T product won the gold award in the digital innovation category; Galaxy Education JSC's ICANKid-Learning Through Play product won the gold award in the digital content category; FPT Group's Vio Edu Online Education System product won the silver award in the digital content category; and Mobifone Corporation's Digital Agricultural Platform product won the silver award in the digital application popularization category.

Previously, products from VNPT, Viettel, Duy Tan University, BIDV, and others have also been honored.
