According to Reuters, football fans will have the opportunity to own tickets to the 2026 World Cup when the World Football Federation (FIFA) will open the first ticket sale from September 10. Ticket prices start at 60 USD, while tickets for later matches (including the final) can cost up to 6,730 USD.
FIFA said tickets for the group stage matches will be available to eligible Visa card holders, who will register their FIFA ID on the official website of the world football federation and enter a draw to buy tickets.
Those selected from the random draw will be able to apply for tickets from October 1. The random selection will allocate a time slot for purchasing tickets, although FIFA stresses that successful entry into the draw does not guarantee tickets will be available.

"We have about 1 million tickets for the first Visa presale," FIFA's head of tickets and hospitality, Falk Eller, told reporters. He added that prices will vary depending on market demand, a strategy known as dynamic pricing or surge pricing.
FIFA, on the other hand, plans to launch an official resale platform later this year, allowing ticket holders to safely resell their tickets. Eller also noted that prices on the resale platform will not be capped, citing the need to compete with unofficial resale outlets and ensure strict management.
The 2026 World Cup is the 23rd FIFA World Cup, to be held in 16 cities across three North American countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This will be the second World Cup in history to be held in more than one country, after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.
