The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Venezuela this time aims to further deepen the friendship and cooperation with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, contributing to peace, cooperation, development and progress of the two nations and the world. This is also the thought of President Ho Chi Minh when he declared “Vietnam wants to be friends with all democratic countries and not to create enmity with anyone” in the Declaration of Independence in 1945.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang respectfully thanked the Venezuelan Government and the Caracas Capital Government, the PSUV Party, socio-political forces and people for supporting the construction and preservation of the Ho Chi Minh Monument here.

For her part, Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno affirmed that Venezuela highly values the image, career and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. The image of Uncle Ho is a great symbol that reminds us of the heroic and brave Vietnamese people.

Deputy Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno, who was the former Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam, expressed her admiration for Vietnam's development, moving forward steadily and always remaining steadfast with the principles left by President Ho Chi Minh.

During his lifetime, President Hugo Chavez - a symbol of a Latin American revolutionary fire against imperialism, steadfast in national independence and enthusiastic about building socialism for the 21st century - once shared that he idolized three figures: Cuban Revolutionary Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
