Seemingly harmless ant bite almost killed man

(Dan Tri) - A 39-year-old man (Phu Tho) was bitten by ants on his arms and legs. However, after only one hour, he suddenly felt chest pain, difficulty breathing, dizziness, and had to go to the emergency room.

According to his family, Mr. Huy ( Phu Tho ) was bitten by ants on his arms and legs. Initially, he only saw a few red bumps and felt itchy all over his body. However, after about 1 hour, the condition suddenly became worse. The patient felt chest tightness, difficulty breathing, choking in the throat, dizziness, and lightheadedness.

The family was shocked and did not have time to do anything at home, so they immediately took him to Thanh Son Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.

At the Emergency - Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department, the patient was diagnosed with grade III anaphylactic shock. Emergency measures were immediately implemented. After treatment, the patient was out of shock, and vital signs and hemodynamics gradually stabilized.

Thanks to early detection and timely treatment, the patient recovered quickly, without any dangerous complications and was discharged safely after a few days of treatment and monitoring.

Doctors recommend that people pay special attention when they are unfortunately bitten by insects and experience serious symptoms such as itching all over the body, difficulty breathing, and chest tightness.
