In the competitive gaming industry, developers are not only leveraging scientific advances to create products but also conveying stories and emotions through every pixel and line of code. The 2025 Viction Game Awards is designed to honor the talents who have been and are contributing to the transformation of the gaming industry, while aiming to bridge the two worlds of Web2 and Web3.
This year's award is divided into 3 phases, from December 7, 2024 to January 20, 2025.
Recognizing the creativity and passion of game developers is Viction's way of showing appreciation for those who dedicate themselves to creating memorable experiences for players.
According to statistics, the global gaming industry revenue surpassed the 200 billion USD mark in 2023 and is expected to reach over 300 billion USD in 2025 thanks to the explosion of mobile games, metaverse (virtual universe) and GameFi models. In Vietnam, the gaming industry revenue in 2023 is estimated to reach about 700 million USD, with more than 40 million players and accounting for nearly 50% of the population.
Vietnam not only has a large player base but is also a fertile ground for creativity with about 200 active game development studios. Names like VNG , Sky Mavis (the father of Axie Infinity ) and Amanotes have helped Vietnam affirm its position on the international gaming map.
Recognizing the potential of the gaming industry, the Government has launched many initiatives to promote the development of this sector. In the National Digital Transformation Strategy 2023, gaming is considered an important part of the digital transformation program until 2030, with the goal of developing innovative digital products and exporting them to international markets. The Government has also established innovation support funds and organized training programs, incubators and workshops to help young developers develop their talents.
