Champions League finals are always tough, but for PSG, things suddenly became easy in the 12th minute, when Desire Doue sneaked under the Inter defenders, received the ball and crossed for Achraf Hakimi to open the scoring.
Seven minutes later, Doue was on the right flank and received a pass from Ousmane Dembele before unleashing a decisive shot that deflected off Federico Dimarco and beat goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Doue's sublime performance was completed in the 62nd minute, with his pacey runs synchronizing with Vitinha's drop down the right flank, then beating Sommer again with a shot into the near corner.
With two goals (and one assist), Doue became the eighth player in Champions League history to score twice in a final, alongside Gareth Bale (2018), Cristiano Ronaldo (2017) and Diego Milito (2010). Not only that, he also became the youngest player (19 years and 362 days) to both score and assist in a Champions League final.

“I have no words to describe how I feel right now. It's unbelievable. The celebrations are going to be crazy," Doue said after lifting the Champions League trophy.
Doue joined PSG in the summer of 2024 for €50 million, but has received little attention. That's because, despite scoring 15 goals in all competitions, Les Parisiens' style of play is more about teamwork, and he is only one of four players to reach double figures for the club. However, a brace and a Man of the Match award that caught the attention of the world have taken Doue to new heights.
Before the 2024/25 Champions League final, Pau Cubarsi was considered the leading candidate for the 2025 Golden Boy award. Doue was only third on the list of favourites behind Dean Huijsen. However, the tables could be turned, with Doue being the hero of PSG's first European title.
